If you are trying to generate this ship and get the message that you don't have the correct badge, try getting another badge and then try to generate the ship again. A friend took me to a few places I hadn't bothered to visit on Tatooine and I received another badge (giving me a total of 5 at which point I received the "has 5 badges" badge also). I then tried to generate the ship and it worked.
If you are having a different problem or if you don't actually have the heavy x-wing badge listed in your character screen, this probably won't work for you. Hopefully it will help some people.
As a side note, I did trade my deed to this friend and had him generate the ship and re-deed it then give it back to me. However, this did NOT seem to help and I still could NOT generate the ship. Then we did the badge thing and I was able to generate the ship.

So wait I did this quest on my neutral pilot. I of course cant use it but so now my alt rebel 4/4/3/3/ might not be able to use it either??
