I've soloed it in an Xwing and a Bwing, without making use of blindspots really (except the engine, it's kinda like you have no choice except to be in that blindspot
). Just learning to corkscrew in firing, turn away, and corkscrew out, makes the job quick and easy. If not for a tiny bit of graphics lag, I would have been able to take both shield pods in a single pass with the Bwing. No bombs, just blasters.

I have soloed it in my awing, and its not that hard to do, of course i have an engine that goes 1200 overloaded 3, and my level 8 re guns make short work of it , so in this order, shields, engine, reactor and bridge, np. Dont worry about the guns, once the bridge gets it, the whole thing blows up nicely.

The star destroyer is killable solo- I do it with an Xwing- takes between 20-30 minutes depending on how many lucky shots the SD gets in on me forcing me to regen a bit. If you're on Valcyn I can probably show you.

Using the information here, I have soloed the SD over 300 times, and my record time in killing it is 2 minutes, 10 seconds.

The Star Destroyer is extremely easy FP. Fly in, take out a generator, go and CTSS until you have full shields, then take out the other one.
Take out the engine from at the bottom of the third one, do a strafing run on the reactor (two if you're damage output is low), then finally swoop into the blind spot and blast it away.
Takes less than 10 minutes in an X-wing, but can take longer if it spawns with a lot of fighter escorts, or if your server has Imperial Pilots who use Deep Space. 500 FP a go + 50 COA FP, and between 10k-20k of credits.

There have been discussions, and I believe it has been pretty well proven that Deep Space is a better way for both sides to gain FP when the ISD and Rebel Station are left intact, rather than using those two targets to earn FP. In essence, the time it takes to kill the ISD and wait for it to respawn would be better used going after the Gunboats, Decimators, and Fighters that it creates. Destroying the ISD, though, will remove all of the Imperial ships in Deep Space, wiping out the chance to get those FP.

I'm lazy, much rather take out one fat target for a wad of FP than dogfight a load of iddy biddy fighters for FP

Lets hear it for balance folks, yay! *rolls his eyes*
That being said, I've soloed the Rebel space station too.
Pretty fricking dumb though, still.

Youhave a greater FP to time expended return if you don't destroy the ISD. All traffic originates from the ISD and when it is destroyed all Imperial vessels in DS will disappear when the new one arrives (usually 30 seconds later). I've basically stopped taking out the ISD because you get a much better return on FP/Credits/Components by destroying the traffic it creates then in acutally destroying it.

What about the rest of players in system trying to gain faction and loot? Not very considerate IMO.
Blowing up the rebel station can screw ALL spawns until the ISD is taken down. If there is no rebels around, DS it out of commission. Wasting either the ISD or rebel station is no great feat. Leave them alone unless space is so overloaded with spawns that you cant move.

I solo it in my xwing all the time. Matter of fact, I've only solo'd it with my xwing. It's just a matter of doing top speed and zipping around to avoid turret lock. After my third or forth attempt, my ISD runs have been cherry.
