I used to use mine all the time to draw fire from then vettes of a few seconds while i got into a blindspot

Pirate trap is definitely something of a joke. If it's any consolation, other than IFF Scramble, the Rebel repair abilities, and Bomber Strike (and ignoring the whole epulse in PVP thing), there are few pilot abilities with any regular or practical use.

The advantage of pirate trap is you can exploit it to get xp with out ever having to go looking for spawns. Just don't do it too much cause it will get nerfed so you can't attack the pirates. Also, son't tell the moderators, I don't want to be banned.

Yeah.. my friend was do the mission for the JSF where after you get it you gotta kill the rebel wing with about 12 or so tier 3 fighters

I ask em 'Hey.. you ever see a /epulse3?'
He says 'no.. what is it?'
So i tell him 'Just watch'
I fly my rihxyyk attack ship with a 2400 shield and a 1500 overloaded capacitator over to the cloud of rebels, they fly towards him in a tight formation.. i fire off epulse 3 and he sees this huge explosion with debris and junk flying all over and

just flash down his screen.. needless to say that convinced him, just the epulse3 alone, to convert to freelance

LOL i have done it with 3500 elite shields and a 1500 cap wap with overload -3000

so 10;000 lol

Try flying into a cloud of tier ones and firing an epulse sometime! I do it regularly! My personal record is 8 at once.

I do the same thing with Nblast... funny as hell!
