I mastered rebel pilot tonight man that level 4 exit mission kicked butt for the tatooine squadron. It really rocked, Wave after wave of Ties.. felt like being in a movie.. Suggestion for folks bring 2 friends their are a lot coming for you
A little off topic but if you run the Tier 4 destroy duty for Crimson Phoenixyou will bewell prepared to handle that exit mission since it gives you increasing numbers of TIEs, Interceptors, Bombers and Advanced as you progress through each phase. If I recall correctly, the exit mission had two or three waves of fighters with about 8 ships per wave. I honestly believe I solo'd it on my first attempt because I had run that duty so many times thatI no longer felt overwhelmed at the sight of8 TIE's spawning andgunning for me all at once. Just my two cents on that mission.
Oh and to the original poster, if you are looking for a fairly easy squadron then do Crimson Phoenix.

I'm just finishing up havok squadron right now. One small advantage that it has is that all of it's trainers are located near a starport (T1=Tyrena, T2=Nym's Stronghold, T3=Yavin Labor Outpost, T4=Nym's again). I know Vortex Squadron has it's T2 and T3 trainers way out at the abandoned rebel base, which means MANY shuttle rides and long drives over mountainous landscapes. Phoenix isn't as bad I undrstand (haven't done that one yet) but isn't the T3 trainer on Yavin all the way out at the deathstar debris site?
No, the Tier 3 trainer is in the Labor Outpost. As to Vortex's Tier 2 and 3 trainers, you can do a quest from the Dantooine station to get landing rights at the base, negating a lot of the travel time.
Holy cr*p!! I didn't know that! That would've made my life infinitely easier back when I was doing Vortex. Probably would have saved me a few grey hairs as well. : )
I still like Havok squad, tho. As someone said earlier, their trainers are pretty off the wall.
