Thanks everyone, another great fight I really enjoyed. I dried up both the IR2 and sensor decoy launchers twice, made a suicide run to a full imperial squadron to save a buddy in a hurry and... visited DS once, had 3 rounds of great fight and an ugly lag at Tat (btw my radar was full of red spots, I thought "wow, the secret imperial fleet of 50 ships", but obviously they were mostly NPCs ). All pilots new to the Starsider galaxy are most welcome, obviously you know how to handle a starfighter.

Rear Admiral Bendo, the HUN pilot was HUN 7 aka Seraphy. (We have finished the space command hall in Darjani and it seems our comm problems are to be resolved in Monday, so I expect the whole squadron to be fully operational in mid September at the latest. )

In the meantime some envious ground ponders seem to have hacked the ASFC site. I hope it returns to its original state soon.

this was the best battle ive been in so far. it was INCREDIBLE. most combat ive seen in one of these events. most ofthe time Tomo and gang dont leave me too much for meto shoot at, but this time it felt like i constantly had a whole wing of restored relics gunning for me! bought it three times tonight, and loved every minute of it.

cheers to the xwing that nailed me at the start, talk about humbling. i made it a point to tear up the x's first after that one!

Oh yeh totally. Talk about humbling there. It's all very well and good being 'good' when flying solo and killing anything which crosses your path even when it/they do see you but that engagement really forced upon us the idea of multitasking. It's never a good idea to fly straight and level for more than 2 seconds..hell that battle showed me never to stop juking etc or you'd find another missile on you.

Ardonis is very scary too. The TS chatter was real interesting after the first round..along the lines of "omg..that KSE is the gunboat from hell..kill it!" My oppinions on the KSE have somewhat changed. I thought I was doing well using an A-wing in modern day pvp..lol..a KSE?! That's both respectable and insane because not only was he flying it..he was doing well and flying it o.o. My utmost salutations on that one...in fact, same with everybody. That was too fun...I felt like a child on Christmas day who'd been left to run around a candy shop whilst their favourite rockband was letting me jam with them .

I'd still like to see more people in the events, (but if addy does any more vids for us, I think it's very possible) but as far as any problems I had... there aren't any. The rebel squadrons performed beautifully and held their own. It was very well done.

Thanks for the compliments, Leaph. (Its Adonis, btw ) It was great to see you out there in an A-wing, too, especially since you were flying it good. I know Harotak and a few others were specifically gunning for you cause we knew you'd be a threat, despite flying what is "technically" a handicapped ship now. You're right about the battles being nuts yesterday. Usually I burn through maybe 5 or 6 chaff at the weekly PvP events. Last night I went through 28.

Cheers and damn..I keep getting people's names wrong sorry. Adonis it is then. I'm hooked over here now. . People pronounce my wrong in TS btw. Not their fault because I wasn't allowed an accent over the 'e' so it'd sound as 'Lay-aff' but erm...I actually prefer their sounding of it so its cool . 'Leef' it is then .

Yeah, Li's heavy X-wing one-shotted me about 5 seconds into the final skirmish, which is too bad cause I had my missiles fully reloaded and was ready to rack up a good number of kills before going down. I had to say that was the most organized I've seenthe rebs yet. In the past we imps have been able to hold our own against superior numbers, since the rebs have had a habit of coming at us in sporadic waves instead of one large group, but tonight was different. Except for the second skirmish, you guys were flying in a very organized fashion, which was making it very hard for any of us to get into a solid position against a target without finding someone bearing down on us at the same time. If you guys manage to keep this level of organization up, we're going tohave to start recruiting more pilots.

ya that was my fault, i had a perfect shot on him before he got you but i blew it; he did die right after that though

the rebels on starsider have come a very long way. hats off to them for an extremely well done job. we are going to have to start up a training program for the new recruits if we are going to put up a better fight.

I'm going to have to try a Heavy X at some point. Maybe...if I can tear myself out of that A-wing. Trouble is I got a nice groove in that seat..and well...

well im always going to hit the big ships first. with three massive guns they are way too dangerous to be left intact, and they are incredibly easy to take down, so you get a big payoff inenemy firepower reduction for the time invested.

Well, we always try to shoot for TIE Oppressors first, too.

So does you can rename your ship, "Gunboat from Hell," now Adonis?
