soling the ISD is no big feat. I soloed it in my Y-wing with a worthless noob in the backseat.
I was a worthless n00b once.

Doing the math, the FP comes out to about the same as an imp pilot killing the spawns i think.
You'll need a ship that's rigged for PvE, though. I did one last night in my PvP A-Wing. Felt like forever. Especially the bridge, must have been 3 minutes just beating it down alone...

hrmm Ive done it in practically every ship save the starter ones... its pretty easy in a Adv XW or Krayt/Rikh... Oh the difference it makes having 2 or 3 4600-5000 damage .8 vs lvl 10 REs equipped... Actually I think itll be faster to farm the spawns instead (plus you actually get loot for those)

I wish they would put some Imp Vette groups in DS. I'd like a challenge up there other than a random JSF.

OK, I never went after a ISD, but am curious, what is the best way to try for a kill on it? Coming from back? What subsystems first, etc? Thanks

Worthless noob is an overstatement. the guy maybe shot it once and hte rest of hte time was shooting ships about 2km away, i told him what to do. the ISD is no big thing, it should be a big thing but isn't.
The ARC is agile but can barely hold its own in PvP or PVE unless you adapt to the ship.
I am not on a trip never was and if you think im an arrogant SOB have fun with your fantasies.

The only reason I made that statement is because you replied to a post, only with the intention of making someone feel foolish for feeling that what they had done was great. You had no insight, no tips, no suggestions. And the fact that you took a "noob" (worthless at that) into deep space, and then had to comment on their innabilities just makes you sound like a jerk. Oh also the word the is spelled T-H-E.

Just don't stay still, barrel-roll your way in and if you are fast enough the turrets shouldn't be able to get a good lock onto you. If they do, shield shunt and boost away then come back for another pass once you've recharged.
You need to hit the same subsystems as the vette but they are smaller targets and you have to strafe them with your guns not just sit back and missle from a blind spot.
Shield 1 and 2 are the two globes on top of the 'T'.
Engine is one of the large thrusters at the back.
Reactor is on the left hand side of the ship about half way down.
Bridge is a very small windowed target in the middle of the 'T' at the top.
Only thing to watch out for are the tie's that sometimes appear around it and other players (though on my server that's not a problem lately, which is a shame.)

the entire bottom but it will do you no good. you need to attack the components and its easy to do so long as ur ship can go over 1000.
oh oops i spelled the wrong lets kill me

you could solo that in anyship so long as it moved at a speed over 1200.
however the lag might prevent that
