Hey, play it how you want to, but I haven't died once since macroing shield stunt. What would get me killed is if I had to hit the stunt hotkey every time I need it.

True, play it like you want i agree.
I just stating that cap to shield shunt shouldnt be on macro because it might not be there when you need it!!
And no it wouldnt get you killed if you had to hit the key when you need it as you stated unless you only had 1 hand to play with.
Playing in kessel and deepspace all day shunt is a vital program to have when needed, say attacking the stardestroyer when im done shooting and making my egress i watch my rear because the guns have a 1200m range on that bad boy once it gets thru the rear shield and touches the armor i shunt 4,or say goin in for the attack if it eats my shield before i can takeout my targeted system i shunt4 and pull out, point is i dont need shunt popping off when i Dont need it to,,thats why manual is the way to go Imo.

Ya thats basically how i got past a couple missions. I charged in attacking the gunships belly, targeting the reactor. Disabled the ship, and then hauled buttocks out of there with boosters going. Very quick way to take one out of the fight. If you let it self destruct you won't get any loot, credits or exp for it, but the mission will still advance, which is the important thing.
