Maybe they should add like a price limit to certain items when placed on a vendor? I know noone who has ever actually spent 9*insert more nines here* credits on someone else's storage vendor
. That..or they introduce vendor type machines which serve as storage machines but aren't 'online' to the rest of the vendory universe.

Some people do that to advertise the part. They expect people to see it and contact them to negotiate a price/trade.
If you see something really good at 99999999 creds, send the owner a tell or something. You might be able to swing a deal.

that's got a little to do with that vendors are kinda "in limbo" until a toon actually causes it to be generated
