Ya know, I was starting to think I was the only one...
I got so bored that I went out and mined enough asteroids fortwo full sets of Elite Components for my two POB ships.
I'm not sure if anyone else got the quote. That was the whole reason I had to post.
Although I am very much cynical of SOE's operation. Years and years of EQ, and beta for SWG and JTL... We shall see, I suppose.
The same thought had occured to me though, about various teams working on so-called different projects. I still don't buy that.

That's lack of competition for you.
No matter how bad this game gets, its still better than WoW.

and, he IS a Cubs fan so that works nicelyI'd say the new expansion will come out just a few days after a publish, where they add whatever they can of the new expansion...

Im starting to wonder if they dont want either being released too close together. Each publish and expansion introduces bugs and conflictsthat are not caught beforehand. Not a complaint, thats just the way a complex program like this works. If both are released within a short period of time, they will have to deal with the bugs from not only one but the following update soon after.
Shortly after they announced the pub 24 changes, they might have gotten heat to release ToOW as soon as possible to compliment the release of the dvd. Its either push out a publish that they promised would be thoroughly tested, or wait until after the expansion.
.....then again they could announce the patch to live for Tuesday

I'm thinking the opposite actually. Since there isn't much space content in the expansion, they're waiting for the expansion to go live before pub 24, so the pilots will all be out playing with their POBs and mining asteroids and won't be able to say theres a lack of space content or dev attention.

Just a quick drunken point here.
The expansion is realeased on the 1st of November to coincide with the DvD or ROTS. Unfortunately SW Battlefield (oops hehe) 2 is realeased the same day, I know which ill buy.
Cant wait for Empires though, itll be cool.
