Yup, the vette is pretty easy to take out, I kill them for fun in Kessel in my Krayt. In a Rihkxyrk it is not that hard. To do this you must find the vette at it's first spawn point.
LIne up head on with the vette, target the Primary shields with your Mark I spacebomb. you need to be not moving, target and fire, immediately switch to secondary shields and unload with your blasters, as soon as you take out the shield (2-3 hits from blasters) you will need to IFF. Get away from the vette asap, as the spacebomb will hit and it will agro you again. This time all the TIE's will follow you, just take them out one by one.
You are now left with the Vette, minus atleast 1 shield and 2 gunships. Ok now target the second shield if it is still up, and attack it from the underside of the vette, coming in from headon position, (basically 45 degrees), there is only 1 gun that can hit you, but with your reward shields and a good capacitor using shunt to shields 4 you can get in easy, either fire or bomb the shield. Now simply repeat this on the back engine, but fire this time do not use missiles, as they take to long to lock.. AT this point the vette is disabled and the Gunboats will float away. Now comes the easy bit, line up under the vette and take out gun 5 (this is the one on the underside). Then stay under it and simply line up taking out other guns. You can get all 7 others from the underside.
Once done simply take out reactor and bridge, the fastest I have done a vette solo is about 10 minutes
