I've heard comments about people destroying the Rebel Station in Deep Space for obscene payouts (>1M) I can't confirm that though.

sell. components. period.

i operate out of mos eisley. i jump into space, and go to the "valarian sun" POI in space. there's 16 valarian tier 1 kimogilas there. if you have two weapons with good damage, you'll destroy each of them in one hit. also theyre large and very easy to hit. make sure you have good shields(4.5 recharge at a minimum) and you wont have to worry at ALL about them destroying you if you're anything resembling a decent pilot. completely clear out your inventory first. then go there and STAY there, killing every valarian they send across your path until your inventory is full...then delete all the "how to mine" disks you'll have acquired as well and continue fighting until your inventory has nothing BUT loot components in it.

once your inventory is full, head back to the tatooine station(examining the components on the way to see if there's anything worth keeping, the valarians sometimes drop decent shields). land, sell all the components to the chassis dealer, and then head out again if you want more money.

i have my inventory completely empty. a trip takes me about an hour and a half(including taking off, travelling there, killing them all, travelling back, landing, and selling the components). i'll usually make about 225k-270k off of the components i loot, and then the credit chip i'll have left over adds typically another 45k-60k. so on a trip i usually make a MINIMUM of 270k, a max of 330k. for 90 minutes work thats an average of 200k credits per hour, PROFIT because you'll have had no operating costs(unless you suck and end up dying )

doctors make a hella lot of money buffing, but then they have to turn around and reinvest it into buying more buffpacks, so their total take isnt anywhere near what this does. the solo mission groups used to be able to make more than this, true, but thats been fixed now...so as best as i can tell, this is now THE fastest and easiest way to make money in the game.
