I flew a dunelizard until I got my third skillbox in T4

I agree with all the posters about the dunebuggy. I used it until I could grab a grevious. It held up under fire as I solo'd 8 fighters and 2 gunboats...that seems pretty darn good to me. Well, dune and shield shunt did that but hey, who's asking anyway?

Went to master in a dune, nimble little ship. It's all my alt flys at the moment.

I used the Dunie all the way to Master. Soloed every mission except the one with the two nasty gunboats at the end! LOL Second Freelance master I used Heavy Syck, Dunie and Grevious. Dunie would still be my favorite pre master Freelance ship if I didn't get the Grevious.

I never flew a Dunelizard. went from the newb ship to the BS Light(starts with a K not even going to attempt to spell it)till tier 3 and got a BS Medium (starts with an I) and at tier 4 I got a BS heavy(starts with a R). I loved the light fighter (still one of my favorites) but needed more firepower for tier 3. The BS medium is nice... alittle slower on the turns than the dunelizard from what I hear but the extra 10k mass sold me.

Now, I didn't have the money for the best parts, wasn't part of a guild, and didn't even know that the forums existed. So was pretty much on my own, but the ships I used got the job done and if they didn't, then I practiced some more till they could.

Looking back on it, knowing what I know now, I would say go with the Dune Lizard til tier 3 then get a BS Medium and get a good enough engine to compensate for the lower YPR of the chassis.
