my biggest complaint about the a-wing is the single gun, but with the low mass thats all you can really fit anyway. i actually like the a-wing a lot too, but i'vebeen using the JSF or belb lately

I put a 70 YP, 65R Engine on an A-Wing and the damned thing flies backwards at 80% throttle. What the hell more are you looking for?

Not that it really shows in flight, but the A wing is Techincally less responsive then a T/I or T/A. For example the A wing has a 4.4 pitch while the T/I has a 5.4 pitch acceleration.

once you break 3.5 it's all about your PYR imo

Well, ive gone up against A wings plenty, and used A wings a few times myself. if that small diference in chassis accelration effects them enough to cause a performance defecit, i have yet to see it.

exactly why at that point it's the PYR on the engine and pilot responce time byond the 3.0-3.5ish area

If you don't want a JSF/Bel-22, get a 96k+ mass Heavy Z95. At least then the exterior can be changed.

Yup, but for pvp the weapon spread is utterly impractical when you're againstt a decent pilot.

I love my A-wing more than any ship in the game. A heavy one though...oh the possibilities.....Just..don't tease me ok..DON'T TEASE ME!!! DONT!!! ARGH?!?! *thrown back in padded room*

P.S

Oh but responcive wise? No ...the A-wing is perfect with a good lvl 8 engine..The r,p,y acceleration is slightly less than that of a T/I or Advanced but otherwise it's fantastic. Just compensate by executing and planning your manouvers sooner than you otherwise would and that split second ofslower r,p,yreaction time doesn't really matter. Just could do with a bit more punch since I'm sacrificing weapon power for that engine plus a half ok'ish shield.

Since the original topic was changed, I'll say that's a pretty nice A-Wing chassis; I have yet to see one better myself (mine's 64.9k mass).

Mine is 66.06k so yours is betetr Mr original poster. I believe I heard though that with perfectresources, the best achieveable A-wing mass is somthing like 66.6k. Thing is...I use just over 65k of my A-wing's mass and I'm pretty much 'maxed out' as far as quality/high level parts go on my ship. I do think I could get that lvl 8 Tri cannon back on though with a little more effort....In fact hell yeh I could. Just hit me..mwaha

I need to loot/find a 25k mass lvl 8 gun first though pre-re :S or lower if they exist.
