I crafted a 103 speed engine on tarq. If you wanna go really fast, get an engine overload chip from an imperial and use /emergeny thrust.
I'd love to see the speed of a 103 engine + level 10 RE booster + EO4 + emergeny thrust
Engine Overload and /ethrust cancel each other out unfortunately.

The /ethrust will do nothing with the Overload enabled.
Also, the RE level 10 boosters are never going to have the speed of a crafted 'overcharged' booster - they can be made as high as 50 or 60 speed I believe. RE'd usually top out at 45 or so speed....
I use my boosters mainly for acceleration nowadays, since a crafted 104 speed engine seems to handle speed issues just fine. My crafted cert 10 Boosters give me about 62 acceleration.

ZIP - gone!
Also, /ethrust and boosters cancel each other out, depending on which was used last.

I have a 103.8 crafted engine in my a-wing, and with engine overdrive I can cruise at about 1360. With a booster I hit about 1580. Albeit, This has mark 1 armor and mark 2 shields
but this baby can fly.

I recently upgraded my booster to a new REed L4 - new top speed in my advanced is still 1246 with EO3, and now 1513 with booster, which can be kept up now for 17 1/2 seconds.

As i said, my pvp equiped Awing including a 3.85k dam gun, mark 3 shields and amicro chaff launcher takes me to 1706 top speed with booster.
So thats the one i use now if i dont fly my xwing which i like more for pve, due to the fact that i have 3 0.265 speed 2400dam *0.5eff guns in it, as well as a 1800 front / back shield and a cm.

The top speed of my pvp ship is 1727 with booster. The ship I race goes 1769. The booster in it is only 26 speed, but it burns for a solid fifteen seconds. I've also put together a ship dedicated solely to top speed. It goes this fast.

Awesome! That's just shy of the maximum. Any chance of a screenshot of you going that fast?

That's just awesome.
I am getting some serious thruster envy from this thread. I've got a pre-nerf in my Advanced that has me cruising at 1246 with EO3, which a level 1 booster will punch up to 1500-something, and it's proven to be very effective for PVE or PVP.. but some of these engines, man oh man. Wish I'd spent more time in Deep Space before the engine speeds got dropped.
Great to see what some of you guys have accomplished with your ships.

Wow. 2030 with a 38.9 speed booster is awesome. If you've got enough mass, you should try sticking a Mark V booster in there. If the booster is experimented solely for speed, you could come close to 2150!

the engine is "just" 23k mass so probably i can fit a mk5 booster, but i have really to remove everything else lol
