Thanks for the offers to help.
I just happended to "luck out" and be in the system as some guys were taking it out so after waiting 5 days I was able to get it.
I still think there should be other options, standing at the star port spamming for help isn't fun especially when everyone ignores you.

So don't. Even though a lot of people are there at the starport, you can't imagine that even most of them are pilots or interested in going up. At the different gates we talked about, mission NPCs, Space Stations, Jump Gates, etc. You can be pretty much guaranteed that the person there is interested in flying, since they are already up or on thier way. Less people, more waiting, but a nearly guaranteed chance that they are at least a little interested in the same goals.

I did it twice just by flying out to the Corvette and tagging along behind it day after day until another group showed up, joined them and finished it.
