there's a problem with the reactor energies not being converted right either
and what i mean is that when i first logged in on tc-bria my ship appeared to have less reactor energy because it was in the red, or like my parts now used more energy? i cant remember but it's a problem for me since i had to rearrange all my parts all over again and was a big mess
please make sure it's looked at

Not really the topic of this thread, but write a ticket, CSRs can take the stuff out of your oppressor and redeed it for you again.

Just the parts. Even if the empty POB chassis ends up bugged somehow (and I have no fear or expectation it will), you should be able to load up an engine and reactor and go collect all your stuff from inside it later on.
In fact, the only components I've heard of being bugged are weapons, ordnance, and countermeasures, but as long as people are stripping their ships, I think they're playing it safe and taking out everything else too. So decorated interiors shouldn't be a problem.

I wonder if this might be a datapad issue. If you deed the noob ship and fly around for a while, no problems. Land (Store) the ship, and pull it back out. Then maybe the errors start happening?
I know that most of my Armor Component crates were screwed up on TC. All the crates looked like the actual component in stacks. If I tried to remove one from the stack it didn't work. Factory crates use the base schematic to create an Item when it is removed from the crate. Schematics are in the Datapad. I think some of you may be able to follow this so on to the next point.
Early days of macro crafting and hologrinds, you had to find the correctdraft schematic number to execute your macro correctly. Sometimes, this number would change because you gained new levels thus gained new draft schematics.
Pets, Armor, Meds, Weapons, Etc... all of these things will change in the CU and their Draft Schematics will too. Sounds to me that anything in your datapad could be corrupted during the conversion. All the "pointers" to what you have will get confused and the Datapad wont retrieve the items correctly if at all.

You can't deed your ship till you take all of your components off... so nothing happens to them.

Well, when the server was just about to shutdown, I pulled all parts off my ships and deeded them for safe measure. The stuff I have is too good to risk losing them. I can always redeed them tonight(provided I don't have a 4hr download).

Well, I just created a new character on one of the post-CU servers and it looks like the cargo hold was added to the list of ship components. I don't yet know whether the bug came with it as well and won't until Starsider gets back up. If anyone's got any info in the meantime, please share it with us.

Good News:
The bug seems to ofbeen fixed TomoRainer.
The starter ship I said I put in just before logging out was OK this morning when I checked it out.
The cargo hold had been added as you say and the blaster on it was sitting in the usual weapons slot as it should be.
OK now for the bad news...
You know those new icons in space?
Well they forgot to add or do the Astromech icons.
The old ones are missing and have all been replaced by the same symbol.
That was a few hours ago and the forums were down at the at time but I did /bug it in game.

Sorry if your hair just got messed up, that was probably my sigh of relief scouring the planet.
Thanks for the initial report. That's great news. If anyone else had a ship in danger of this bug, whether due to being unable to strip it in time or for testing purposes, please let us know how it turned out.
The space icons have been like that on TC for a while now. Not sure whether it's a bug or they just haven't implemented the new ones yet, but I'm glad to hear you /bugged it.
Thanks again for the update. Now to see if it holds true for everyone else.
