So far i've solo'ed all freelancers till 4444 and black epsilon and inqisition till 4444. The only times i needed help was when i needed to kill 2 gunboats at the same time.

Im not a great pilot myself, i havent been able to kill the corvette, but a few pointers:

1. Start using driod commands asap. they make the diverance for me.

2. Dont fight at topspeed, you cant turn as fast.

3. These forums, the FAQ is a wonderfull source of knowlagde, you might not understand it all in the beginning but browse throught it.

Hope this helps ya

As others have mentioned here, get help from an ACE but make sure they understand it is HELP

When I help folks I usually fly wingman to them, keeping "extra" bogies off their tail while they go one on one with a ship. That seems to work pretty well as it keeps them challenged but doesnt get them overwhelmed.

I didn't have much trouble starting out. But its true Tier 3 missions can be a %$^# with starter equipment.

Get a level 4 astromech

Get droid commands

Reactor overload 4, engine overload 3 and weapon overload 3

This will greatly enhance your speed, manuverability and power, it will almost feel like your cheating but your not, its why they give you a whole tree to thedroid, its intended.

You can use teir 4 droid commands in a teir 3 astromech, discovered this, so dont' worry about that. But you will have to have your level 4 astromech to fit all those commands, the level 3 won't cut it. at 3,3,3,3 you qualify for the level 4.

Next, bring a freind or two. 1 ace can usually do it if there good, but ask them to just disable the craft so that you can get xp.

Also, you can normally just disable the craft by using your bracket keys and targeting the engine. This stops them twice as fast, then you can go back and clean up when the heat is off if there is time.

Compare crafted parts to your looted stuff, you can probably find better. This will help out tons too.

Hope that helps.

There should be absolutely no reason to use reactor overload 4 before going to deep space as an ace. It will ruin the reactor with non-repairable damage/decay.

Agreed, through out novice up to Ace, I only used Weapon Overload3 and Engine Overload3. If you have the space in your droid you could add Cap/Reactor Overload but they're not neccesary.

Either you are an ace already, don't have JtL at all or if you have, you don't care for the career (only the cheap travel). So please don't give me the speech "find someone of your level that needs the mission, too". Probably this worked when space was new, but not these days.

Yes, I am $&$$/ed right now. I just wasted another hour (of many today) on an unsuccessfull tier 3 mission. Mission failed, and I have no clue what went wrong exactly. So first the ground game is pretty much over for me, being killed by babies. And now I have reached the end in space at Imp tier 3 missions.

Sounds like Storm Squadron or Black Epsilon. If I've hit it, I suggest you unload and redeedyour ships, surrender your pilot skills, and find the Inquisition Pilot trainer(if you insist on flying TIE's).

If it's something else, everything else that's been suggested should work.

I dunno, JTL for me became fun AFTER I hit Ace.

I'm in space almost all the time these days, and just today alone helped 3 pilots hit Ace while grinding up my alt.
(Still sorry I missed out on helping one of my fav shipwrights hit Ace tho' )

Last week when RotW went live I was cruising through Corellian airspace and got a random tell for help which I rushed immediately to, was a blast, made a new friend in the game, helped him complete his mission, nice feeling of 'being' an Ace there.

JTL to me is really where you DO 'make your own game', personally I love it up there, even to the point of RP'ing my main toon living on her Decimator (I park it around various starports).

Just have some fun with it, but basically either you enjoy flying and continue to do so after you've got your badge, or you dont.

If a poisonous snake is dropped on top of you from a gyrocopter, don’t freak out and shoot your own driver with your arrow gun, making the vehicle lose control and blow up. Its probably just as scared as you are.
