Before entering Combat (in order) I will run these generally....
Reactor Overload3
Engine Overload 3
Weapon Overload 3
Capacitor Overload 3
Strengthen Shields Forward 3
Strengthen Shields Rear 3
And I keep Capacitor to shield Shunt 3 as well for in-combat.

Good to know I'm always experimenting with new chips and such. How long do Shields Rear & forward 3 last? The whole duration i'm in dep space for example and do I have to reapply them like shield shunt?

I'm learning, getting better, killing more.

I think im about to learn something new. Can you elaborate on that?

Sounds like shield reinforcment, but that takes frome one and adds to the other,so this "strengthen shield" (didnt know that existed) has me puzzled

Hmmm.. maybe I have the wrong name but as far as macro programming I believe they're called strengthen not reinforce. Lemme hit the FAQ'sd and double check.....

Should be front/back reinforcement, my bad (not adjust reinforce)

There is no peace, there is anger.
There is no fear, there is power.
There is no death, there is immortality.
There is no weakness, there is the Dark Side. I am the Heart of Darkness.
I know no fear, but rather I instil it in my enemies. I am the destroyer of worlds.
I know the power of the Dark Side. I am the fire of hate.
All the Universe bows before me, I pledge myself to the Darkness.
For I have found true life, in the death of the light.

I run my Oppressor about 90% of the time, the rest in my interceptor. I rarely see people in DS, so I spend most of my time PvE there grinding faction, the Oppressor just rocks for this. My Interceptor has a lvl 7 gun (at work so no stats), light armor (1100? hp), and the biggest engine I could pack into it. With EO3 it runs close to 1500, and turns at that speed too, just wicked. The lack of shields makes PvE a 2 to 3 mistake engagement though Then it hyper back to regualr space for the free repairs. I've also taken my Decimator into DS a few times, never ran into another player, but man did we have fun out there...untill we got cocky and took on a vette....won't do that again

During my stint as an Imperial pilot, I never flew in PvP, but I did fly a lot of PvE. The Interceptor is a mean fighter if you use it right and can put up with the lower mass. (Damn, did that teach me something about mass management!) I actually fear it most of all in a PvP dogfight, as its pilot is a bit crazy and probably very skilled to even try to pull it off.

There's a quote attributed to Kyle Katarn in one of the starship encyclopedias that says something along the lines of "TIE Fighter pilots are suicidal, and TIE Defender pilots are bloodthirsty. But I run from TIE Interceptor pilots, because they're suicidal and bloodthirsty." That's really true!

Yup, we are suicidal, Halyn. Last words last night in Kessel were "Why isn't he jumping out?" "Maybe its a trap" "Could be" ... and we flew straight on anyway .

That was you? That was a great fight! You have no idea how long I kept flying out in front of you desperately trying to call in some reinforcements so we didn't have a repeat of round #2.
