Probably cause they drop off of tier 4 and above black sun and not the tier ones generated by the mission in theed.

If you're getting tier 1s on your RSF duty mission, you're talking to the wrong trainer.

The one you want is all the way at the back of the palace, in a room on the right of the large hall. She gives out the RSF tier 4 duty missions.

Its just pure stupid dumb luck. When i first mastered privateer not long after jtl was out i did tier 4 RSF black sun duties solidly for 3 weeks saw none. then looted 3 helmets in 11 days. since i came back before i switched pilot factions i did a few weeks of black sun duties and saw nothing again.

its just pure randomness.

I grinded the four mill box for Tier 4 SA, grinded the 7.5 mill to master ( I know I didn't need to, but I was looking for RE parts and it was double xp week -- I should have been on the ground ), did all of my 4 mill on Arkon's Havoc, and 6 mill prestige later I got it. So. Good luck.

Ahhh, I made the mistake of talking to the wrong trainer in Theed too. I usually use my KSE Firespray with my rebel alliance ace. I can do the full spawn(all waves)pretty easily with that one. Good firepower, high mass for components. The only times it gets tricky is when I land in an imp or pirate spawn doubling the number of enemies. Towards the later spawns...that can get dicey.

I logged my alt who is Master Pilot and went to theed and got the tier 1 BS duties. I wanted to see how they were against my Bel. So, I guess i need to find the other trainer to check out the tier 4 spawn. I want to be able to use my neutral pilot for this if possible even though my Bel is a lot less mass and worse components as a result.

This is an informative thread depsite those nasty people who get it at the first run.

Anyone ever count just how many ships we kill in the entire tier 4 blacksun duty???
