Having a decent computer helps, I had one guy spamming smoky sams at me in Kessel once, he kept crashing then relogging in again to repeat the whole process whilst I just went around blowing stuff up.

I've never had someone purposefully light up the Lagstar yet, and I hope I don't encounter it, but I still hate attacking rebels near it. Never fails that I get lagged. I have hada fewuse the ISD defensively though, basically as a shield against missile lock and approach fire... basically eliminating my best chance of killing them with my Firespray.

Using lag to mess with other players is definitely unkosher. The devs have done a few things to cut back on space lag, but unfortunately it's kind of hard sometimes to tell what exactly they've done. I don't think they've touched any of the issues with the ISD, though, which is probably the worst offender when it comes to lag, so I'll see about getting on them about that.

Oh yes please.

Occasionally, I have a pilot who makes a bolt for the ISD. More often, they try to make me follow them through immense mobs I usually catch him before he can cause any lag mischief. Sooner of later, they end up with my blasters up their tailpipe.

Okay, brought it up again. It's probably the fourth or fifth time I've mentioned lag issues with the ISD, but it never hurts to repeat yourself now and then.

Also took the time to mention the Freedom Station invincibility bug again.

Yeah, I've done that one. The A-Wing's speed and high speed agility mean I can crank it up to 1100 and snuggle under the bridge tower comfortably if I need to duck. The only harsh part is getting behind the tower and having the rear guns light up. That's ALWAYS an fps killer. Amidships isn't too bad.

defensive lagging is weak like watered down chocolate milk. It is something completely different to approach rebels with the ISD behind you (akin to flying with the sun to your back).

Of course a good pilot will adjust their approach vector and climb/descend enough to change the angle, clearing the IMP... putting him back in, 1. View and 2. Missile Lock.

I don't know. They worked hard to get master pilot so they could come to Deepspace. Seem like they earned it to me. I mean it works fine in PvE, it must balanced and working as intended for PvP too.

LOL, yeah, its balanced and working fine in PvE, until you consider that NPCs aren't affected by lag and will have a field day with your ass while you're bathing in white sparkles.

Nice try, though.

Hmmm, so what you're saying is that game mechanics designed to work for NPCs might be different from those designed to work for players? Even if the Devs didn't come right out and say so?

Based on my experiences with the ground game, any action which generates game debilitating lag for other players and deliberately interferes with game performance is a bannable offense.

There've been a number of people banned on Kettemoor for deliberately lagging Theed to hell with Launcher Pistols.
