so why would you bother with RE'd parts when a SW can craft a mark5 engine with over 118 speed and mark 4 with over 102 speed
For PYR values. Crafted ones I have seen don't go that high. Top speed isn't everything.

The best engine I got not taking mass into the equation, is my lvl 10 re'd 94.9 speed 83.1,83.1,83.2 r,p,y engine.
It has 43k mass..but thats fine fora Heavy X-wing or even a Heavy 95 if I flew one. Running EO4 is fun ![]()

I got an non level 10 102.9 speed engine, the other stats arnt much to write home about though, although it is low mass.

Because you don't like to die?
Tomo was exactly right, not only do the looted engines start out with better YPR, but the lower energy use allows you to run EO4 which further improves your YPR. In a dogfight, your turning is much more important than speed.

I agree. Even in PVE, high speed in a fighter with its sweet spot at/near full throttle (like aRGI, JSF, T/I, T/A)will just make you fly past the enemies instead of tailing them.

The best PYR I've ever found is 80.1. And I mean that literally--3 different level 10s, all with a P, Y, or R of 80.1.
Needless to say they're now all part of a single, rather fun engine.
"Needless to say"???

Now that I'm here, what is the best p/y/r value I can hope for?
Personally, I've netted a couple of 80.X in those stats. I hear someone looted an 83.X at some point.
83.4 yawin a rush to head out of house but screenies under user "greven" or "graven" (forget which) on image dump
