That's what I did, one mining laser and one tractor beam in my JSF. And that tip is very helpful, I found out about that last night.

How was the fighting with the mining laser?
I am IMP and I have to use my JSF for mining. one real gun and the other a mining laser.
I wonder if I can kill the lvl 5 diamond bandits off with a mining laser?
I really envy the rebs and free lance with their 3 gun ships. for mining laser. trator beam and weapon slot.

bellbulab- 1 mark III mining laser and a TB- I can fill a large cargo hold in about10-15 minutes- and scoot off the the station to land at 1400 (with EO3) Makes for very quick turn-around.
