I like this forum. It's like, "Here's my cereal, quick...pee in it!"

Nice reactor!

Exactly, I don't know why people think that these reactors are so amazing. The only thing I could have ever seen using them for was putting them in a PoB, but that wont be necessary now with 2k hitpoints 40k generation reactors.

They also will allow you to run WO4 on the big fighters, like Heavy-Xwings, Krayts, B-Wings - ships with far more guns than you'd expect. At least, I think you could get a B-Wing up to WO4, can't say as I've ever actually tried.

Attaining and retaining pilots is the absolute lifeblood of our game. That only thing negativity improves is our attrition rate.

Pride in one's elite component's is a powerful retention factor. It's GREAT to take pride in your components. At the same time, consider letting other people take pride in theirs.

Posts in the pattern:

OP: "I got a super whiz-bang part look at how great it is!"

SP: "Mine's better"

Make me sad.

I've got one like that on my b-wing lol. I may have to change it out though when I finally finish the ship.

Haven't looked at it that way. My view on this thread was, if you need that in your starfighter then you're doing something wrong. And I rather don'tpost "nice component" on something that is as usefull as second hand toiletpaper. Especially if they're valuing it at twenty million.

The twenty million comment is what made me post btw, if he had kept it to the reactor statsI would have kept my negativity out of this thread.

The only real mistake you made with this is that there's an L8 reward reactor that most people get rid of. Has like 911.x hp/armor.

Where are they getting that one? The only reward reactors I seem to remember atmare the L6-12300 RGR pilot trainer reward reactors.

Regardless of all above... it is a nice reactor, gratz dude enjoy it.

The trick to getting a good price for sdomthing is finding someone who wants it bad enough... my QID for example... I love it, it isn't "uber" but it gets the job done and I don't care what others think of it may be worth less than others would be on the open market, but why does that matter I never intend to sell it.

Oh and Washell, I would love to have a reactor like that in my B-Wing or a KSE (if I had one), I may be "doing something wrong" according to you but there may very well be other ways to set up a B-Wing. A liberal dash of "in my opinion" would help your above statment.

I don't think this is a contest... all hed did was post about an RE he was proud of... that is not a sin.

Sorry gang, I'm an emotional fella. I wasn't really trying to browbeat anyone in particular.

Thanks toTerry Pratchett Ihateimo and especially imho. In common speech it's mostly used to lend extra weight to a statement that doesn't deserve it. I consider all posts the posters opinion, speculation, rumor, etcanyway, unless they add some links to credible sources. I sometimes forget other people don't.

And it's a nice RE job, it was the mentioning of 20 million that rubbed the wrong way. That 20 million is better spent on all other components to get their drain down then on a single reactor. It's those drains that get multiplied by 10 (wo4/eo4) or by 333% when fixed (wo3).

Wow, talk about twisting the meaning of some comments.

No one downed the guy for having a nice part, and accusing people of peeing in someone's cereal is uncalled for. Making factual, neutral, comments on the relative quality of the part, and how useful it truly is, isn't rude or disrespectful in any way. It's the same thing we always do around here, share the info based on our experience. Washell and I have both farmed enough parts and put together enough ships to have a bit of insight into just how handy that part would be, and we shared it. Veiled accusations that we're trying to pick on the OP or make them feel bad? That's pretty pathetic actually.

When there are wildly overestimated comments on the part's potential "worth" it's more than fair to give a more realistic assessment.

I disagree . I also read the original response to the OP as peeing in his cereal. It may have not been his intent, but it was our perception.
