there, the Y-8 doesen't totally suck

Yeah but then you don't get loot. Two elite weapons chew through those gunnies fast enough, so you might as well use a Nova/Deci/YT.

Just put a mining laser for pilot weapon, wep 2 I think. Good luck seeing the asteroid chunk past the ship with your windows tinted beyond belief.

Windows have been fixed havn't they now? If not, I'm sure they will be soon. /shrug.

No. Windows on the Nova and the Y-8 are still broken. Only seems to be affecting those who own the Nova and the Y-8. I know Freelancer players who finished the Y-8 quest post pub 24. Thier Yt-1300s are fine but thier Y-8's are broken. Everyone I know with the Nova and Y-8 have problems with both ships.

SOE please fix space!!!!!!!!!

You get loot. It just goes to the pilot's inventory. Or at least the crap I got from asteroid bandits did.

Yes i do feel better ty. It still does not change the fact that this game is getting worse and worse every time they change something.

Instead of bringing forth new content lets fix what's broken first. I like new things as much as anybody but there comes a time when you have to stop and look and realize that "hey we got lots of broken things here we need to fix". Our players are unhappy we are loosing a lot of people because the game is so nerfed. to prove the point i am mayor of a city and we have 62 citizens in our city but only about 7 people play now. They still come on teamspeak they just don't play swg they have moved on to better games. We have to realize that new content is only a quick fix for getting new players. ROTW is a good example everyone flooded to Kashyyk when it came out and did all the quests and got all the loot they could and now it's pretty much dead when i go there now for something which isn't very often. I think it would be smarter to keep the players we have now especially the vet players. Then maybe we can work on getting some new players. I think one way to do both is bring Hoth into the game. People have been asking for Hoth since day one. Maybe have AT-ST that can be destroyed and imperial walkers. Of coarse the rebel base would be a must. This is my personal favorite, Wampa hunting and maybe some Wampa caves but again lets fix what's broken first especially the Y-8.

Last 3 (iirc, could be4)publishes, were dedicated to fixing bugs. Sadly, P24 appears to have broken more then it fixed. Bugfixing with the millions of lines of code SWG has is a timeconsuming event. I also think that time pressures to get stuff published has left the team cutting corners on extensive documentation and good modulization of the game mechanics. So a fix that isn't supposed to affect anything else, according to the documentation, turns out to affect a lot. They also don't seem to have enough time to run enough "what if the player does this?" scenario's leading to bugs if you stray from the path. (most famous and embarrising one: choosing weak in the x-wing/vaksai/rgi quest.Fixing that, and forgot to think, "what if the player changed squadrons now?")

SWG is unique, skill based leveling, player driven economy, crafting taking skillpoints, social professions, citybuilding, twitch space gameplay.

Personally, I think SOE/Lucasarts seriously underestimated the amount of code and interdependancies this generated. They couldn't afford to double the team and postpone the launch a year to get things right and are now working with code that has been patched and patched again and no-one there really has a clear picture what is going on under the hood.

Is this the way to run a MMO? No, but with my background in IT I'm a bit more forgiving then most players. I try to predict the"normal" path the programmers/scripters envisioned and stick to it so all in allI've been relatively free from bugs. But no player should have a detailed knowledge of serverclusters, routers and programming to be able to enjoy a game.

Everytime my subscription comes up for renewal I balance the fun I have playing the game vs the $15 a month/annoyances caused by bugsand since I'm still here I appear to be having fun. I don't mind things like the Y8 being bugged, to me, it's like one of the sauces running out of a huge buffet, plenty of other things to choose from/to do.

Given the current trend of sequalling every game, I do sincerely hope they've learned (and documented) from creating and running SWG when they start work on SWGII, not by reducing the scope of the game, but implementing everything right from the start.

edit: Thanks for being such a good sport about my first post
