I could swear I've seen someone talking about a lvl 6 with .7 vs

I just did on other thread ended at both .7 vs and 2809 max with what will round down barely to .38 refire(dumb luck)

I had 60 guns to choose from though including 5 "scorcher 3's"

and I always use my best rounding system aside but a .669 after RE is enough to round up to .7

Nothing drops with 0.7, but you can RE them to 0.7, which you need at least 0.667 to get.

I have one for each, one is a Hoersch and Kessel "Scorcher 3", that has 0.667 vs armor, and the other a Koensayr Ion Acceltrator 3 for the vs shields.

i think it has to be .667 for a level 8 gun, for a level 6 gun youll need .670 or high because you only get a 4% increase.

sry edited it in but it's .669 that minimum to end at .7 I used .669 and .671 to get the .7 both

You can get to .700 on a level 6 with only a .665 pre-RE, if you know what you're doing. If you do a long logout while in space, the refire and vs. shields/armor stats of any guns you have loaded in your ship will permanently round to only two digits. A gun with .665 has a 50% chance of rounding up to .670in such a situation. (There's also a 50% chance that it will round down to .660. If it does that, you'll have to find another gun with .665 and start over.) Once you have a .670 gun, it will RE to .697. Do another long logout in space with the now RE'd gun and it willround to .700.

Note: The reason why a .665 gun has a 50% chance of rounding up or rounding down is because there are actually more digits at play then just the three that are displayed. For example, even though a gun may display a stat of .665, its true stat might really be .664827819. Such a stat would display as .665, but when you did a long logout and got it to round to only two digits, it would end up rounding down to .660.

um no .665 at best(we'll say 12 digit's for arguments sake so .665499999999)would RE to .692119999999...... which WOULD not round up NEEDS to hit .695x to round up minimum

You are missing what Imaridril is saying. The post was about rounding the Weapon Before you put it into the mix. Using a logout to round the base weapon Up from .665 to .67, with an explanation of why it might round down to .66 instead.

Yeah, HewerofWood is corrent. There's a glitch in JTL right now that if you /quit or go LD while in space and then stay out of the game until you have been unloaded from the server, all the guns that are in your ship will have their refire and vs. shields/armor stats rounded to two digits, regardless of if they're RE'd or not. Depending on what numbers you start with, its possible to use this to your advantage when putting a new RE'd gun together. In the example I gave in my previous post, you could use the rounding trick twice, once before RE-ing and once after, to get to .700 with a .665 gun.
