In fairness, a lot of bugs do get fixed, it just usually takes a lot longer than we'd like. In regards to this one specifically, I don't have any info on it or anything, but I do have a feeling it's one we're going to see a fix for within a few publishes rather than lingering on forever. That's just a feeling, though.
