Pwned.

I was thinking it was more like "Wondertwin Powers ACTIVATE! Form of a link! Shape of A Clicky!"

Now which one is Zan and which is Jan? God, I'm embarassed that I remember that. I probably wouldn't if it werent for that episode of "Family Guy" where he turns into a um hygene product.

And yah when people are too lazy to read the sticky at the top that references all the questions they asked, they get the horns.

Well, so far we've got admitted exploiters being congratulated for their 'honesty'.

Leave me out of that please. He told me, i reported it to tomo, and never did i use said sploits. I give credit where its due, regardless if i agree with an indivduals actions or not.

In my mind its worse to exploit and say, "I pwn u" and say nothing about what you did then to exploit and stand up to admit, "well, i kinda sorta did this, and it was really unfair...". Granted he shouldnt have been exploiting to begin with, but at least he had the decency to admit it.

Oh please!
The only reason he's 'coming clean' is because he can't figure out a way around the upcoming 'nerf'.
He deserves no congratulations, he exploits without shame or remorse and is only STOPPING his exploiting because as above HE CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO AVOID IT.

The only thing he deserves at this point is a permaban.

Jeebus, he told me about these exploits probably 2 or 3 months ago.
Long before any fix was announced. Don't get me wrong, im not defending him, but He didnt have to say anything to me at all, and i was on the other end of the blaster bolt.

He didnt just tell me, he told alot of people. Ask Leaph, he knew too. Im thinking his reasoning was the more people that knew about it, the faster sony would have to act. Who knows what he was thinking, i sure as hell dont. Im guessing theres about 4 other people or so on bria that have similar loadouts. One of which im sure i know by name.

Now consider this since everyones in the mood for a witch hunt. He, and i hear about 5 other ppl from starsider knew about it as well. How many are cheated there on the lauded starsider? Or other servers?

Roast him all you want, i dont care, its not my problem. im just glad this sploit is finally getting finaly fixed.

You're missing my point I believe Duc.

Ignoring for a moment the fact that he should be doubly permabanned, one for exploiting and another for SPREADING the damned thing. He's simply not deserving of ANY form of congratulations WHATSOEVER.

Had he fought, /reported, and raised the consciousness of the Devs about the exploit while keeping himself on a level ABOVE that, well, that'd be one thing.

But the hypocrite talked out of one side of his mouth (apparently) about how this was such an exploit that needed to be fixed, WHILE PARTICIPATING IN THE VERY EXPLOIT HE WAS 'AGAINST'.

I understand what you are saying, Rapax. But I also understand their point. To them, this is akin to someone murdering someone else, admitting to it, and having a very respected person in the community come out and say "At least he admitted it." They haven't been fuming over the exploit for months like you have. I'm sure that to some of them, the fact that you could do this at all is a complete surprise. Right now, they're still to busy with the "murder" to care much about the honesty or lack thereof of the "murderer". Add to this the fact that one of our most obvious community leaders seems to be giving him a pat on the back, and you can kind of see their frustration.

Yea i can see what your saying Treena.

I think theres a shock factor involved that ive gotten used to, but didnt quite sink in tell now. When sony announced the fix, cheers occured, but i dont think anyone realized just how serious it is. Ive always known, and have lived with its specter for a few months now.

Only when ostat revealed his full loadout did the serverity of the exploit sink in to others. I on the other hand, while bitter about it, have grown somewhat numb to it because for me, its always been there.

Very well said Treena, and you pretty much hit the nail on the head for me.

Personally I've known about the 'murders' for a while now, I did NOT however realize it was quite as widespread as it apparently is.

But yes, it's the fact that someone can show no remorse about something, even refer to having his actions rectified as 'nerfing' and THEN get congratulated by someone for being 'honest' is a slap in the face to everyone who actually remaind honest and refused to exploit in the first place.
