Surely entering a few numbers cant be as hard as looking through your whole stash and then comparing stats for each part of the item.

Anyone can make a spreadsheet, but it wouldnt do much good.

A small program can make the life easier. If you guys dont like this idea, fine but dont bash it for the others.

He is right. Many people put a lot of effort into playing this game. I know crafters who do, PvPers that do, and certainly pilots do too. There are speadsheets for all kinds of stuff, there is the Merchants Friend tool. I think this guy has a good idea. I spent part of my night with a calculator and notepad doing this:

I spent time calculating what min and maximum damage per second to shields and armor come out to be and then made sets of 3 weapons to find out the best grouping. I came out with a best against shield, best against armor, and best over all. It's not like I hated doing this, I mean it's a game and it wass fun to know that my set up is will be tweaked out once I get better equipment. If there was a simple spreadsheet or program that could help I would love it.
