At least you HAVE zealous JTL activity on your servers.

I'm pretty sure your referring to starsider.

On bria, there is an amazing lack of "offical support" from the majority of the factional population, be it rebel or Imperial. At least, as near as i can tell. Infact, anytime i mention JTL in anyway shape or form on the bria forums, i get mocked and laughed at.

one more coal on the fire to switch servers.

Well, after being a solo guy for over a year i was press ganged into a guild due to having flown with them on the space missions as we all ground up our pilots.

I have noticed however that post ROTW, we seem to be the only guild that actively wants PvP on our server (i.e. actually turns up to the events). Whislt that was good for 2 weeks or so, whilst we strut our stuff and say we rule space as the only rebel guild who could be bothered fighting the Imps, it doesnt last. Especially when the Imps get tired of dieng at the end of one of my surgical blaster strikes.

Now even I, yes me the greatest pilot ever to strap themselves into a tiny mix of wires, transparisteel and ferroceramics and fly it into the void, have become VERY bored with JTL.

I have tried everything, from hitting duel ever time i see an Imp to taking noobs on galactic tours in the back seat of my Ywing ( WidowMaker) finishing in DS with some PVP with the nooby screaming.

I think the problem is -

1. The new ROTW ships, especially the JSF are vastly overpowered. Therefore the JSF becomes "composite in space". I went to fight in space to avoid the ground PvP compo armour boringness!

2. No post master content. The ground game has Jedi. Why cant the space game have Rogue Squadron/181st Fighter Group/some elite smuggler thingy! With new ships. New model Xwings, E wings etc. for the Rogues, new model Interceptors, defendersfor the 181st and UGLIES for the smugglers.

Hell, make the space game include real models of the ships (i.e. 4 guns and 2 prots on the Xwings etc.) and loadouts to match AND give us a space version of the FRS thingy. I.e masters are perma overt and can be attacked by everyone in a rival faction and can only attack overts or attackers. Have a PvP rating in space. Have bounties placed on the elite pilots. Have bounties be colectible in space combat. Have squadron markings for our clothes and our ships. Have our PvP kill rates displayed in our bio. Have a seperate rank (i.e. ASFC (Alliance Starfighter Command) lieutenant displayable, etc. In fact any of these would be a start!

Nope, we're on Starsider, silly. What was your RS name? I was (am, I guess ) Major Joel Lance.

Hey, Rapax. If you ever feel the need to go "Professor" on someone, just shoot me an email. I'm always up for improving my skills.

One of the people in my guild wants to take over the position of Squadron Commander. He has "big plans for space". Our guild is mostly a ground guild and the ONLY thing that got most of them back into space were the RoW quests that had ground and space componets. Getting most of the people in my guild into their ships is akin to pulling teeth without novocaine.

People tend to burn out on JTL. There is a definite lack of things to due in space once the novelty wears off. Most of the people in my guild never even got their Master Badge. They just kinda stopped flying one day. It's sad really.

I have some ideas about "instanced space battlefields" and other such content that *might* make space more appealing. I am uncertain about the talent left at SOE after published 18 and 19 though. I am not certain they could pull it off.

Flying around randomly in space trying blow up faction farmers certainly isn't going to get my people into their ships on a regular basis.

Might have something of a problem with the "real" models thing, Cuchulain, mostly with the TIE interceptor which "really" has 10 blaster emplacements.

Huh? In some Imps dreams maybe!

What I mean is different models of the ships. I.e. different types of Xs for the Rebs who go for the Rogue Squadron thingy and Ints for the Imps who join the 181st!

I and always will be in any GCW era starwars game be known as Leaph Chausew [give or take slight spelling variants].

I wasn't with Rebelsquadrons for all that long, but I kept track of it. I remember flying a number of Itods for XvT. Hmm..happy times. Wait..still are happy times.
