Not entirely true, only the projectile color/sound selection is an option. If you want the Classic Star Wars blaster style you HAVE to go on an RE-spree, which is really annoying and time consuming. I've managed to put together a film-esque X-Wing, but I had to sacrifice a bit in performance to get there (as I couldn't afford to buy better components with the right look).
It should also be noted that Tier 8+ (The Incom/Subro Quad-Blaster), there is only one gun in the entire game that has the red-orange blaster bolt with the classic film style of weapon mount. All the other one's are purple, green, or have over-the-top silly animations.
Which reminds me - we still need to see a Falcon-style YT-1300 quad-laser in game with the proper sounds and weapon animations. Kinda disappointed it doesn't exist already since all the resources are there. Same goes for the KSE.
