I just mastered Storm Squadron and now I just laugh to myself when I listen to other people complain about escort missions...
Whats the big deal about SS, people say its hard but its really easy, just really, really, really lllloooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggg!
Again LONG being the keyword of SS. I laugh to myself when I hear someone complaining about how LONG an escort mission is. Some of the missions can be rather difficult though if you are a 3222 pilot having to use a tie bomber with low grade weapons and parts moving at about 650-700 trying to catch A-wings shooting your target. This is where my progress really slowed down. It picked back up once I got 4333 and could use the Bell-22.
Oh god, the A-Wings.... THE A-WINGS... everywhere... can't get rid of them!
During the last couple of tier4 missions for SS when you have to escort the freighters - and the awings just won't stop coming - I had nightmares about being harrassed by swarm after swarm of the things. Now everytime I see one i flinch and break out in a cold sweat...
Storm Suqadron has left me a broken man ![]()
12-13 hours is my usual time if everything's ready to go.
A new server and charactergenerally takes me 3 days(with the intention of soloing the Corvette, which I pretty much do even though it seems I can't avoid stumbling on others about to do the mission, lol).
Since I haven't had that much time free lately, I averaged 1.66 days per squadron this time around.

I Know GK-SixFour did One Sqrdn in 5 and a half hours! now thats A feat!
After getting past the First ier its plain sailing barring any long escort missions
ooh, was just about to reply to this thread but noticed you'd beaten me to it.
It was 5 hours 45 mins to be more accurate, but that did include a trip to the shop round the corner to get a sandwich and nipping to Lok to drop off some stuff for a guildie. It was Crimson Phoenix squadron. Most of the others I found took around 8 hours, including a lunch break of around an hour - with CP squadron I found I was on a roll, so I'd just have a sandwich while flying escort - started just after 12 midday, and finished just before 6pm ![]()

edit - just to add, Yanus was around to assist for my ace mission for CP, as I had to log off *at* 6 (hence my hurry to get it finished before I had to go) - the corvette spawned into Kessel as entered the system for my 30 fighters mission, so the corvette escort actually made up a large chunk of the '30 fighters' part of the ace missions, with Yanus babysitting the vette until I got back to destroy it. As such, I was lucky with the spawn times which decreased the time needed significantly

Yes then you decided to pick on my Poor wee Kirhaxz
I just did the storm squadron, and I had to do some of these escorts twice due to lack of.... staying close to the shuttle because I was getting distracted by some A-wing acrobactics? Anyhow, I noticed that one of the times it wasn't nearly as long as the other, is it possible that the numbers of wave reset bacause you stray to far from the shuttle?

what? ia ced havok and never noticed the long escorts, the longest i think was 10 min, now you want to talk about long, do storm squadron and we'll talk.
QFE
When I did storm squadron I had an escort mission that was over an hour... 17 waves of enemies (actual count) and that was just one part of a tier 4 mission.
