TIE Defender? With any luck will be released next expansion (please please please)

In game currently, tough call.. I like the JSF because I can modify it's colors and looks... Imperials though I'd probably have to say TIE Interceptor. (Not the Red Guard version though, the red looks gaudy)

Rebels I think I have to go with the good old X-wing.. and of neutrals.. hmmm.. cant think of one that I really like.

TIE fighter -- eyeball
TIE Bomber -- dupe
TIE Interceptor -- squint
TIE Advanced -- bright
TIE Defender -- trip
(the following are designations some of my guildmates and I use)
TIE Oppressor -- trip
TIE Aggressor -- tail

I like too many ships. Yes I fly the A-wing mostly, but it cannot be denied that other ships have ultimatecoolnessofextremekudosness.

Here is a rundown, -the- definitive rundown of cool starwars ships. (Well ok, this is just the poster's oppinion ).

In no particular order...

1. X-wing. (Standard). Looks better without strakes. Personally I feel strakes steal away from the ship's looks but thats just me. You have to love the x-wing though just...well...it's an -X WING-. The name screams awesomeness plus Wedge flew one so it must be good .

2. A-wing. I never used to be a fan, but this game turned me into one. They do look awesome too. I love that wedge shape and the simplicity of it. I know the internal mechanics of an A-wing are a nightmare with overheating etc, but the looks say to the pilot "Yup, I'm a fast manouverable ship. Treat me good and I'll treat you better"

3. Y-wing, the two seater one.

Y-wings are ugly. Sorry they are..so ugly that they look good, but I think that's what adds to their coolness. They're the kind of ship which has a whole load of personality. They're what I consider a ship for true aces. That is to say, if one is being used well you know the pilot behind the controls knows what they're doing. Same with the X-wing and A-wing. They're not perfect in everyway, but being devastating with one speaks much for the pilot's prowess.

4. TIE Interceptor.

They look scary, the standard squint in this game isn't quite done justice mass wise I don't think, but a true ace will be a terror in one.

5. TIE Advanced.

Although similar to an A-wing, the choice of two gunmounts dictates a different setup unless you make use of just the one gunmount and stick a larger weapon in it. Personally, I've always been most wary when flying against a TA pilot because the best Imperial pilots I know of (past and present) have flown them.

Updated to this point. Pretty wide variety so far.
