No typo, really. I waited until I had gathered a lot more than just 8 lvl8 engines to revEngineer. Then picked the best of the bunch for each stat. I was most pleased. Did the same thing with a RE-8 reactor. Its mass 20k but stored energy is 30k. I use it in my Mining ship.

Since we're showing off engines, here's mine... (It was RE'd from a pre-nerf Haor Chall, and not a Quantum Ion Drive.)

Not bad.

My re'd lvl 8 quantum drive has 98 speed,

roll = 76

yaw= 76

pitch = 79

Mass is just over 22k. There is a post somewhere with my entire A-wing stats. I recently upgraded my shield too from a mk IV to a re'd Nym starmap shield.

Values are approximate (from what I remember).

again, how do oyu get an engine like that?

Nym's starmap quest gives a level 8 reward engine. Sadly the 2 that I got from my 2 characters were both below 89 top speed un -RE'd. I was very disappointed.
