I hate the Privateer jacket and the helmet is badly modled....the factioned pilots get getter gear, besides the bondo the Privateers get...that is awesome, specially when I'm running around in tusken gear or Ubese armour.

The jacket goes good with anything grey/black. I LOVE the jacket. It's got the little Imperial insignias on the collars. It's also got the nifty likkle clasps on it.

It looks really sharp with the Command Hat.

On my Zab female toon, the Priavteer helmet makes her look like she is 12 years old. Of course the Tie pilot helmet is way way to big on her too.

The Freelancer gear is just bad. The jacket...enuff said. The helmet looks like what Rick Moranis wore in "Spaceballs" Oversized and just plain goofy looking.

The Rebel gear is best overall. It matches and looks pretty good.

The Imperial isn't bad. Just badly mismatched. A combat style helmet with a dress style jacket. The fashion police should have been more alert.

Meh. The helmet is ugly by itself. Ditch the helmet completely.

If you get in the mindset of sitting in your cockpit, the Imperial helmet is actually pretty cool. I mean, all that gear, lifesupport, nifty!

But then, no one can see you in your cockpit. And walking around with that thing is just...silly looking, doesn't blend in with the modern armor helmets. Or the much smaller rebel ace helm, which looks like a real pilot's helm. Weeny rebels, building life support into their ships.

Privateers Jackets are all Naboo Coast Guard Reserve Surplus, you knew that, right?

All the gear kinda just shows shoddy design all around, I think the only two pieces done by the same artist at the same time were the Imperial rookie jumpsuit and helmet, because they are the only two that look like they go together.

Plus, what's the deal handing out jumpsuits, then handing out jackets later that cannot be worn over said jumpsuits? Or bandoliers that look like they sit inside the jacket?

The only way I've gotten the freelance helmet to look even half decent is with a Chitin chest plate, and my toon then looks like Queen of Bugs.

I was wondering the same thing. Then I realized how silly the Rebel jacket would look worn on top of that orange thing. Imps may be able to pull it off better, but it would probably still give the impression of simply forgetting to put your pants on that morning.

Neutrals, on the other hand, do have an open jacket, so they could actually get away with it best. Since you will see more of the jumpsuit, it would work.

Based on your description alone, I shall have to try this once I make Freelance ace.

Too bad all that nifty life support doesn't fit over my lekku. Guess Twi'leks are so uber that we don't have to breathe. Awesome!

Too bad they dont give them a jumpsuit, they give them a bandolier that doesnt mesh with the jacket and is entirely the wrong color too.

I like the bandolier. It looks pretty nice over my Imperial Ace jacket. I'd check it with my Rebel one, but I'm not allowed to wear it at the moment. The color isn't that bad, either. Of course, this is all from the perspective of someone who just joined a Freelance faction this morning. I have a few days before I'll see the effect with the Ace jacket. But the Ace jacket didn't impress me to begin with, so I'll likely never wear it.
