Thread: YT-1300 Interior Layout
<--- see pics in gallery of my ship the serenity's interior.
TBH I don't see how they could fit all that in the size it's supposed to be. First time I went on one I did look for familiar areas to those in the films but found little. But then considering the Falcon is supposed to be a one off type ship....
I agree its the stock version of YT-1300 and that the falcon in the movies did have a bit to much space inside for the chassi.. but i was curious to see how large are the rooms from the pictures provided in this post and it looks just fine.
The YT1300 is suppose to be 26,7m from that measure the room where luke practice with the saber should be around 5x5m.. and engineering should be twice that.
Anway point is that they didnt bother or for some strange reason could not make it more like in the movies.. as it is now its a boring layout

Thank you Ani'a, that gives me ideas on decorating my YT, I suck at interior decoration and recently picked up a bunch of Imperial furniture from the recruiter and I have a huge collection of holograms, terminals, starship crafting station, droid chassis, some furniture and I guess I could grab some of the rugs.
Check out this comparisonhttp://www.darkangel.plus.com/images/Misc/Claw/falccomp%20(Small).jpg
On the right the ingame shot on the left the shot from the set. As you can see its a prety close match. One thing that is wrong with the in gam esip is that the rooms are too big. look at the difference in size between the seat on the set and the seat in the ship. If they had made the rooms smaller they could have fitted more in
And yes you can make the in game ship look good, take a look at my ship here.

Thats why I love the Ebon Hawk from SWKOTOR!
I just think they should have made JTL ships bigger in the very beginning. I think all ships are a bit small!
Having should a room like on the pictures above would add a hell lot of atmosphere!
Oh and btw: Add atmosphere flights and real planetary landing with huge hangars as well to the game while we are speaking of it!

"the interior of the falcon, as shown in the movies, does not logistically fit into the size of the ship. its on a star wars wiki. with the pictures you have there, that would either A- make the ship HUGE.. or B-make each of those rooms barely big enough to put a chair in. so.. leave it as it is now for decoration purposes.
what they could do tho, is knock out that center area or make it smaller so we have bigger rooms "
I agree. The ship we see in the movies( judging by the size of it compared to han) is not big enought oc arry all those rooms as the interrior. But I know that when making the original trilogy there was alot lucas wanted to do, but didnt exactly happen.
Also, if you look at where the room with the gaming table and YT passenger lounge is on the " falcon" layout, and then you see that room inside during the movies...it does not match up. On the "falcon" layout, the room is towards the front left side of the ship. In order for that , the roof on the inside would slant forward-left...but in the movies the roof only slants forward.
I rememebr I posted a list of logical anomolies of the millennium falcon interrior not matching with the exterior......the cockpit on the outside is raised slightly higher than the hull where the passengers are kept. In the moive when you enter the cockpit, the hull floor level and cockpit level are the same.......which does not make sense. In the game they fixed it by adding a ramp that inclines twice. Another anomolie is the position of the turret access.
