Thread: Does your choice of ship chassis reflect you as a pilot?
No,I just like my ship just cause it makes bigthings go BOOM! lol
Nope. I think getting into a starship is like getting into a car.
Example:
Not in car: My girlfriend is the absolute sweetest person I know. Always curtious, appologizes for everything, never swears.
In car: Impatient, easily aggitated, speeds, swears and is generally scary.
Not that she's a bad driver (she's very good and doesn't drive like an old lady), but there is quite the personalitly change when she gets behind the wheel. If she were ever to get interested in playing JTL, I bet she would be a pilot to be reconed with!
My primary ship is my decimator, i use it for almost everything. I love the demage dealing abilities, and the power to survive the lasers and missiles of ten bwings
And my second most used ship is my tie advanced... I dont know.. Fast?

I guess I like the small and agile ships more than the "tanks": I use my advanced X exclusively for mining these days. I used to fly the B-22, but for style reasons, I switched to the heavy Z-95. It is so darn fast and doesn't look like a 50's car! Ok, the weapon spread is big, but it makes me aim more carefully. And it is still hard to hit (tho not as hard as the B-22 or JSF) so for PvE it's a blast. I don't use armour, as I hardly get hit.
Next to the above, I am in love with my Nova, which I use for fun, group transportsand occasional grinding help.
On my wish list I still have the desire to outfit a Y-wing LP (never touched after pilot 3xxx) to a really cool ship. I hated the B-wing and loved the A-wing, but as I am lazy by nature, I find the low mass on the A-wing to much.
As an aside, fast and agile is also my real-life approach to cars and aircraft. Some people want a big truck or SUV so that they've got lots of crumple room if they get in a crash. Me, I'd rather have a Porche, Lotus, or even a Mazda Miata. Speed, acceleration, and handling will get you out of more trouble than being well protected when you do blunder into trouble, I figure.
Also, if I know I'm not going to be in combat, I fly my Deci, the Miss-Directed Funds. The name isn't really an RL reference, but it's certainly appropriate for her pilot, flipping off the Imperial beaurocracy with both lekku while flying some of the Empire's best hardware.
Commando on ground with no healing, pure damage and punching power.
Firespray in space with dual RE LvL 10s that each can 1 hit kill any player ship
Also a 90 speed 80 p/r/y engine in there
Also I use a Y-8 fully decked out.
So yeah, pritty accurate to me on ground game. However totaly opposit from me in real life.
Real life I would be in a stealth ship camping hyperspace points and sniping any one who comes in with missles. On ground I would be a sniper on top of a building across from the starport entrance.
So, what eva
I have 2 ships that I fly mostly.
For the most part, I have the advanced X-Wing that I borrowed from a guildmate (my quest is bugged), and I have my X-Wing.
I use them both quite a bit. I just revamped and put a new engine in my advanced, so the YPR on it is now all above 81. ![]()
