Well, here goes...

Would it be ok for me to fly a JSF as a PvE ship? I would never PvP in it, I just want one for the extra gun mount and cause I just want one, but would it be ok for PvE?

Weird though, you're telling someone else how to spend his time in-game (heavy x) yet come to ask permission if you may use the JSF...

In both cases, who pays the subscription decides what gets done/used.

He said JSF! Let's get him! *torches and pitchforks*

But seriously, it's your money, do what you want. As long as it's not PvP EP3, PvP launchm, or loadganking you're good with most of the community. You just get respect by not using ROTW stuff in PvP. I **edit** my JSF in PvE a lot now while I'm collecting parts for RE projects and I haven't gotten any hate tells about the JSF, just hate tells for "OMG, you stoled my sp4wn! I need these for XP, f4g!" when I go on my killing sprees.

The one thing many of the people who say "it's your subscription" forget is that, unlike a lot of professions, we have a community. Most pilots have given up Actises and Belbullabs for a lot of things because they want to maintain that community, rather than divide it by using an unbalanced chassis. I have more thoughts on this later, but I hvae class in...two minutes. Gotta go.

Bottom line remains, it's his $15,- which he's paying to have fun. If he gets more fun from his JSF then other ships he's fully entitled to fly it. The drawback is ofcourse that we're biased against JSF pilots and consider them second rate until proven different.

Leaph, sorry if I insulted you or something, it's just I kinda look up to you, and for everyone else, I really wanted to get an opinion about flying it because this communty is kinda rough on JSF fliers. It's not like I'm a bad pilot, I soloed most of SS and all of Inquisition. I mostly jsut don't wanna get someone following me around calling me a JSF'er and such.

I'm not afraid that I would have problems with it in DeepSpace it's jsut I fear Leaph and his band of angry villagers, and I think he would BBQ me if he found out I PvP'ed in it.

heh one of the best ways to improve is to get your arse handed to you.... a lot. Sooo, soon I'll finish my chr on Starsider so I can study with the masters. lol

Leaph, quit complaining about persecution and go fill in the blanks on my POB windows post.
JSF Nazi.. yeah I'd hafta say I like that one too. Though I will admit to flying one occasionally. It's one of 8 ships I try to stay current on... an' I don' think they's ugly.

Its one of the best ships in the game, period. I know alot of people don't like them because they are unbalanced, but I do not pvp in mine.

I think I remember at some point seing you mention that you are on shadowfire, I personally don't care what other ppl fly, aside from bugged hitbox fighters.I just wonder how well they would do WITHOUT the JSF

also this only applies to pvp, when doing pve, I figure it's either faction grinding or parts harvesting, so if you can sit in the middle of a spawn and hit EP3 and kill the whole spawn, I would prolly just want to bring popcorn to watch that many ships blow up at the same time.

I like my a-wing, I like that I do reasonably well with it

It's a pilotskill Freelancers have.

Basically, the most advanced version takes a large bit out of your cap and shieldenergy (if i can recall correctly),

and that energy is being used to damage nearby fighters. It's a very powerful weapon, and therefor not liked alot by pvpers
