Funny... I'm 4-4-4-4 Inquisition Pilot and I never did anything interesting on my teir 4 missions... all I ever did was... patrol dathomir, and nothing ever happened...

Anyways, I did this mission back in Nov and it wasn't that bad.

Key part is that you did it back then. I solo'd Black Epsilon and Storm Squadron, from Novice through the Corvette.

That was then, this is now. Now a gunboat is doing over 1000kps? That's gotta be a bug.

Are you sure it's doing 1000 now? It was doing 600 back then. But still, I helped a guy doing that mission two days ago, the same strategy described above worked fine.

Yeah, pretty sure. If I'm running in an Advance, with EOL 3, full booster away (don't touch the stick) in a straight line, flip end for end and the gunboat is sitting within 250m of me (and don't forget I'm dumping Bomber Strike at 1000m and scooting) then I guess it's doing around 1000 at the very least.

the enemyfighters scale their speed and manuverability to match yours, i guess they mis coded something and the gunbaots are the same way now.

if you ask me the whole NPC fighters using yoru ship stats is totaly bass ackwards. for example, when gunning down fighters in a mission, its easier to not use engine overload since when you run it they do to, and all it does is make it harder for you to hit them since they have impossibly good aim.

even the infamous "jousting ai" from way back when was better than this bs.

Cool, thnx. I was going to ask you, what your weapon load out was, guns, missles, cm's? I've been using crafted Lvl 7 high speed green blasters X 2 dam 2500 spd .22 and proton III's with just regular chaff.

I'm using two RE'd Bolt Drivers from my previous squadrons, no missle launcher and microchaff countermeasures.

I also tried the mission in a TIE Bomber (in all I tried and died 8 times last night trying to solo this sucker) with twin L8 RE'd reward cannons and dual Mark III Proton MIssles, all to no avail. The gunboat manuvers like an A-Wing and is just as fast.

A little note on my TIE Bomber: I left in a Mark V crafted engine with 102 speed, also pushing EOL 3. Prior to RotW and the CU I could boost away from any AI ship in the game and recover before attacking again. Now that isn't the case and that has to be a bug.

FYI, after the last publish you can get MARK V engines with Top speed at 117 and above this might help a bit with getting away from npcs.

Not likely.

1. A Mark V is a Level 9 engine, and I'm only Level 8 certfied.

2. Seems the NPC AI can keep up regardless of what you're packin' in the Engine Compartment.

Guess I'll have to recruit some pilots to take out the bad guys. They aren't Rebel Alliance ships, so theoretically I should be able to use any available pilot right?

You said " I left in a Mark V crafted engine with 102 speed, " I assumed you meant a MARK V (lvl9)hehe. I guess you meant a mark IV (lvl7).

Just thought I'd pass the word about the new speed.

he equiped the bomber with master lvl gear before he retired, he can fly the ship but if he changed the engine out he wont be able to put it back in until he is master agian.

Oh I *love* the news about the new speeds and Y/P/R that DP talked about in the SW forum. But if I take out the Mark V I have in there, I'm hosed.

Then again, I'm hosed with the thing in there in the first place.

Well, I helped a guildmate out the other night on one of his missions, and had tier 4 y-wings keeping up with me in my brand spanking new jedi fighter, boosted to 1300+ speed.

Not to mention A-wings juking and jiving.
