Been too busy grinding jedi lately but I should have about 150 parts to add in a few days.

Btw seems like someone deleted the stats to the nice piece of lvl 8 armor I looted recently. Is there something wrong with submitting the stats of some exceptional parts? Sure they might mess up the average values but I want to show off.

I sent you some email asking you to confirm a really nice piece of level 8 armor, but I didn't delete it. I assumed you had inadvertently entered a reverse engineered piece by accident:

L8 armor

Mass: 6058.1

Armor: 1974.8

I mean, holy crap! But if you're saying it's raw loot, I'll take your word for it.

would be neat to have a list of parts so far out of the ordinary that they throw everything off. my 27K lvl 6, and 40K output lvl 8 reactors would have done that.

Yes it is raw loot and I looted it while helping this dude pass his tier 3 mission. I even posted here on the forums asking whether the lootnerfs were broke but people told me that that does happen on rare occasions. I must've missed your mail then.

RE 8, Cert 8 - Sienar Fleet Systems Polyweb 6 Shield

yup, 2 of those, don't remember what I got them from

748.3 A/HP 2897.7 drain 40911.4 mass 1208.9 front 1484.1 back 11.55 recharge
776.7 A/HP 2513.3 drain 42390.7 mass 1464.7 front 1574.2 back 12.34 recharge

And another Booster, I kid not about the name

Sienar Fleet Systems"Ultra-Thrust" Elite Booster (LvL 9)
550.2 A/HP 600 drain 37440.2 mass 1464.1 energy 36.6 recharge 146.4 consump. 29.3 Accel. 22.8 speed

And SoroSuub 'Flash' Capacitor - in the lvl 10 needs to be edited out I think, says it's 5/10 parts, unless there are some that arelike that, in which cse, ignore this.

The SoroSuub "Flash" Capacitor really is Cert 5, RE 10. I have one in my bag and made a note to look for these after I saw it (well, if I ever go shipwright at least).

I believe it's the case that there are two of these, one that's 5/10 and one that's 10/5.

Looking at SpaceLoot.com and comparing your results to the Prima JtL guide, I found that some of the stats from the JtL guide areprecisely identical, and the relative position of the different components in each category are also still valid; i.e. a low-mass capacitor in the Prima guide is a low-mass capacitor on SpaceLoot.

In the Prima guide, actual values for mass are completely wrong. Droid Interfaces are obviously based on the bugged speed. The Prima guide was obviously written at the start of Beta. However, the relative values for mass are correct, it seems. Some of the values in the Prima guide need to have a decimal point added, like in Booster speed and booster accel.

Overall, the Prima guide is a good way to look for optimal parts by name.

It is, however, not a good guide. It was written during Beta, and not updated with the actual JtL release data. Further, the rest of the guide is based on the pre-CU combat and skill system, and though it has updated the trainer locations in NPC cities, even that isn't entirely accurate, especially when it comes to Pilot skill trainers.

Isthe Primaguideworth 19.99? I don't think so. If you want to pick it up, do so at the bargain bin.

"RE 9, Cert 9 - SubPro Mark IV "Accelatron" Boosters"

Correction to my original post.

Yes, there are RE 9 Cert 9 SubPro Mark IV "Accelatron" Boosters as well as RE 7, Cert. 7 SubPro Mark IV "Accelatron" Boosters. I think this item is unique, in that the same name is used for two different RE/Cert. level items.

guess that explains the SoroSuub and Sorosuub, just wish there was an easier way, shrug, thanks for the edit option

I've fixed some more typos, class omissions and mis-certs.

The dataset is really starting to mature now. In the not too distant future I think we'll be able to run some more sophisticated analysis on the numbers. I'd like to start ballparking the frequency with which truly exceptional (> 3 standard deviations) loot drops.

spaceloot appears to have hacked up a lung at some point during the night. I won't be able to get her back up and running until this evening EST.

Well, it's pretty bad. The drive blew up altogether.

I'm exploring data recovery options. They're expensive.

The alternative is losing about three weeks of data.

I'll kick this around for a couple of days and see what I can come up with. Don't anyone freak out on me just yet.
