Yes, let's ask them to revamp one ship because certain people don't think the interior is "canon" enough (as if that were ever a cause for panic in this game). Every other pressing concern with the profession-that-isn't-a-profession-in-the-Devs'-eyes-it-seems can wait.

Lemme guess - just made Ace last night and you're ticked the YT-1300 isn't as good as you thought it'd be?

actually...ive been a Master Pilot for about 3 months, and im just now getting around to writing a post...i know im not alone when i say the the YT is inaccurate, and that it should be fixed

Unlike the movies the size of the interior needs to match the exterior due to the game engine. It is impossible to make a canon correct YT in SWG.

That aside, I know of at least 3 different YT layouts all claiming to be canon correct.

I think the YT is fine, the Deci feels smaller but the Y-8 layout is just perfect, feels like a minature capitol ship. I wouldn't complain, more important issues in game but devs aren't getting around to them for some reason.

Remember: When logic, discussion, reason and all else fail - spam petitions! If you're not aware, a petition on the internet is about the worse way to get anything done. Just, ya know, somethign to think about. SOE has made their stance on petitions (and bumping threads) clear in the past.

Besides, in the great scheme of just how many things are screwed up in SWG, this ranks pretty low on the list of things to fix.

remember the petitions for going back pre-cu?? there were like thousands of ppl who signed it and what happened... NOTHING!!

so i doubt sumfing like changing what the YT interior looks like will be on top of the devs list of "things to do"

I'm with you, Athec. It's idiotic how they have it set up right now. Ether this ship is supposed to be a lot bigger than it is, interior and exterior, or all the other ships are supposed to be smaller. Have you ever flown an A Wing up to the YT in game? The A wing is almost as big as the YT. That's not right. The A wing should be about the size of the YT'spit.

Then there's the interior. They included none of the actual rooms, just thecatwalk around the turret and to the pit. Compared to all of the other POB ships the interior of the YT is absolutly microscopic. You can go down every corrador of the YK and the Deci, but the YT is just that catwalk. We're missing over half the ship!!

We lack not only smiple little rooms like the sleeping quarters, but also the forward hold, the number two hold, the freightloading bay, the number three hold, the circut bays, the engineering bay (wich is a HUGE room. About a third of the ship is missing with the exclusion of this part), and perhaps one or two other parts.

Some of you have said that they couldn't include these things. I ask you why couldn't they? Sure, it would be a pain if they redesigned it now and you had to redeed the ship before the changes took effect, but it is possible. If Sony had done their job correctly the first time this thread wouldn't exist. If they can design the Y8 to be as massive and COMPLETE as it is, then they can at least make what is arguably the most famous ship in the world of Star Wars correctly. It isn't like they have to provide the furnature for these rooms so that it's outfitted like the Falcon, no that's the player's responsibility to do that sort of thing. All they need to do is add what is supposed to be there. I mean really, the only props they would need to design is perhaps the hyperdrive that's supposed to be in the engineering bay and perhaps some circut boards and electronics for the circut bays, but even then, they can manipulate existing props.

The conduits and repair terms in the ship also seem to be stuck in some totally random places do to the lack of rooms on the ship. Had they included all the rooms that are supposed to be there they could have put the panels and conduits where they should be. There's no reason for there to be 3 or 4 couduits/access panels in one room. I mean really, there's only 3 real room on the YT right now. The YK has 4 or so good sized rooms. The YT's rooms are menial. The only decent sized one that's practical to use for anything is the main hold, which if you remember from the movie is where the YT's seats and the gambling table are. Why put privateer though this?

Privateer already gets stuck with some of the biggest, clunkies ships. The only known ship they have is the YT-1300. Rebels have the A wing, the B wing, the X wing, the Y wing, things people have heard of. The Imperial Navy has of course the TIE fighter, the TIE Interceptor, the TIE Advance, and the like. Why does Privateer only have the YT? There's other ships that they should be able to have or at least give them a couple of the other faction's ships. I guess this is a topic for a different thread, but it still irratates me.
