im in the chillatra server. my IGN is Kevo. id be more than willing to help someone with anything ground or space if they help me with this. i know there are some bad mofo's out there that can take on a corvette by there selves, but i think it will take more than 2 ordinary pilots. so if your ordinary try and bring some friends . thanks everyone for taking the time to read this. BTW ib be willing to pay people also, so if your a broke ace give me a shout.

Welcome to the Pilot forum, I see you have posted on the SW forums over 100 times. i am surprised that you have yet to notice the stickies at the top of various forums such as those that state "This is not a trade forum!" or the accepted forum "etiquette". May I suggest you go to your server forum and server trade forum and post there.

Then once you and your hired guns die and fail the mission you can come back and ask us for a tactical analysis of your skills, strengths and weaknesses.

Disableing the 'Vette is the easy part.(really, it's quite simple, use missiles after taking out the fighter escort)

The tough parts is staying alive after the 3 tier 5 gunboats jump in to destroy it. The secret to that is um....fly fast..and dodge a lot. /shrug

Sometime I wonder if the Pilot FAQ stickied to the top is invisible to people looking for answers.

Here is some helpful info. The vette mission is extremely easy. Ill step by step it for ya

1. First destroy the fighter screen, Tag one and fly away from the vette and take them out without worrying about the vettes guns.

2. Take out gun number 5. Come up from underneath the vette number 5 is the only gun that will fire at you. Take it out with guns, missles, or space bomb whichever you prefer.

3. Once gun 5 is gone you can stay behind and just below the vette without worry of being shot at. Take out both the primary and secondry shield from this postion you can target them with missles and the shots will hit (Note the vette does make a few turns so pay attention when it shifts position)

4. This is very important! Do not disable the vette till its about 5k from the station. Once its around 5k Knock out the engine. Why wait? If you wait you wont have any gunboats spawn thats why.

You don't even need to take gun 5, the 'Vette has a huge blindspot directly aft. The reason few people use it is because in the Kessel mission, this position is usually well covered by 2 vicious gunboats.

Yeah i know about that one but if your like me and watch TV while waiting for the vette to get closer makeing the blind spot bigger really helps when the vette decides to turn and your not paying attention. I got blowed up hehe, stupid bathroom breaks

Jaekew you talk of the master pilot mission. my mission is much easier, im doing the heavy x-wing quest. fighter escort is np at all. clean those guys out quick but that vette puts it to me like no tomarrow. anyways thanks again for the help my friend.

NO, I mentioned the master mission in reference to the heavy X mission. Because there is no gunboat escort to guard the rear blindspot, you can easily take out the vettes shields and secondary shields with a couple missiles each and then blast the engines with blasters without ever taking a gun out.

The hard part is escorting the vette afterward, there are 3 tier 5 gunboats that spawn during the escort. And they are chasers if you ever agro them.(fast too)

Many prefer the work-around to avoid the gunboats, but I enjoy the challenge.
