Yup, they may have finally fixed it. Although ill know for sure when i login.

Reason i think they fixed it is

1.)the long down time. Not much of a patch, so im thinking the long downtime maybe database related, but im just shooting in the dark here.

2.) hotfix notes:

"Character Transfer Service
-Credits are now transferred by "with items" transfers."

This just makes me go GAAAAHHHH!! (as in i wish i waited longer)

But another suspicion i have here is ive transfered with credit chips looted in space, up to 500K's worth. I dont think that was something they anticpated for. Not sure.

ANyway, will be intresting to see if i still have all 3 pilot professions at the same time when i login.

Yeah. I might have preferred a wait as well. I remember going on buying sprees just before my transfer. High BER harvesters, weapons and the like. But, it was the transfer with items service that even got me to reactivate my account.

Have you tried entering DS as a Rebel in a TIE? Not to stay. Just to see if it's possible .

Which means if Starsider is one of the last servers to come up, I'll blame you transferees for screwing up the database.

Nah i never tried that. I should have, but im a bit too honest for my own good. The worst i did was doing half of rebel pilot in a Tie advanced, and the occasional Bomberstrike.

Im quite sure i could have entered DS in a tie. The game doesnt look at your ship, it looks at your profession, at least i think it does. While doing rebel pilot in a Tie Advanced, all mobs were red or white to me as they should be. The oddball in that was that my own bomberstrikes were neutral (yellow) to me, and i could blow them up if i wanted to.

But ya, every special works, from B strike to EP3 to pirate trap, etc, i had (still have?) them all. More of a novetely then anythign else to me. Thankfully for others, this "power" as it were didnt fall into the lap of someone more .... sinister., im sure they'd have been out in an RGI with a big honking cap and shield using EP3 or something. Infact that was the first thign that crossed my mind, but id never do it.

Well ive been watching, while getting ready for work, and NOT ONE ADDITIONAL SERVER has gone from loading to online in the last 30 mins. (i think)


So somethings chugging there....

Boy , im glad im not on BRIA, they may as well forget about playing the game until late this evening. lol.

QFE. Still loading, and no new servers online. A normal patch or hotfix doesnt take THIS long.


That will be cool if i see my money from bria and valcyn in my bank account when i login, but i doubt it.

Man, it's gotta be you. You're originally from Bria, heaven only knows what pilot faction you really are, and you're moving to Starsider? That clinches it! It's obviously Rapax who's the source of the server problems.
