I just RE'd a level 10 using this gun and wish I hadn't. The effect is awful. Is it likely to ever be fixed?

the effect is what it should be, its a unique gun and a unique effect

Are you sure?

When used in a turret the recoil blinds you. As a forward facing gun it gives a very weak forward sorta red blotch effect and the recoil effect kinda chases the ship.

The weak visual on the beam make the gun tricky to use with my usual deadly accuracy as it's very hard to see the beam.

So *that* is what that Actis pilot was packing that night in Deep Space. It scared the crap out of me because I could barely see the fire effect. Rattled me bad enough he got me pretty quickly.

That's the trick of it. If you can get good enough at not needing to see the shots to aim (I'm still working on this as well), then the gun's visual effect works to your advantage in PvP. What you cannot see, they cannot see. All they'll hear is the boom letting them know that's one really big gun shooting at them, but won't really be able to pinpoint you by the shots.
