Thread: Pilots and credits
I have working on my Alliance pilot but I really would like to start a Imperial pilot on another server to fly TIEs and other Imp ships. Preferably a server with a higher pilot population.
My question is can I start a new char with limited funds on another server and actually make enough credits just in space to satisfy my ship component fix? I hate the thought of grinding a land profession just to quench my flying fever.

About the money. yes I think its not very hard. I think by now everyone starts with 75k or something like that, the first ship is free.
Once you're Tier 1 or 1211 or so, you can more or less easily Farm Tier 1 ships and sell the loot to the Chassis Dealers.
You'll get some decent reward equipment from the trainer, and might loot some, and level 3-5 stuff is not that expensive on the bazaar, so a new weapon and so will be easy to find there I think. best check your loot before you sell it you might find somethign you want to use instead of what you have.
Will take a while making money with Level 1-3 stuff you loot there, but eventually you have enough money to buy a better ship and components and all.

I am also from shadowfire and started a new pilot toon on starsider less than a week ago. I already had a toon on starsider but never used him. He was more to play dress up then anything else. So I deleted him. When I created that toon I got 75k. But when I re-made my Thrad toon to replace him I only started off with the old standard 1k. So as long as this is your first toon on starsider you'll get 75k to start.
But even if you only start with 1k you'll make more than enough credits to get what you need. As I siad, I've only been on starsider for less than a week and am a 2212 Imp pilot with well over 200k in the bank. And that's over 200k after buying parts, clothes, and new ships. One of those ships was a 50k mass Interceptor for only 20,000 credits!!!!!! (gotta love the new vendor search feature) So I've probably made around 300k total in only a few days of piloting alone.
And if you're wondering about the quality of starsider and it's players and pilots...well...put it this way..I like it so much I put it in my sig. ![]()
Good luck. Hope to see you in the vacuum

Between the inexpensive nature of functional ship equipment, the low maintenance rates, the high payouts on missions, rookie level mission strings that pay 47k per series of quests, and more, it is very very very easy to live a life devoted to space. Its even easy to use space to pay for the ground game.
Very very true!!!!!
I would now like to take a moment to thank all of theRebel fighter pilots and Corvette commanders and crews in Deep Space for giving their lives to the "Buy Thradd A New Set Of Composite Armor" fund. And I can't forget those same brave Rebels who also contributed to the "Imperial Base And Stormtrooper Armor" fund. /salute
Between the cash flow and the FP flow it's a wonder anyone is still on the ground
