Because if it were invincible the Shipwrights would amass an Army and slay the Devs.

Your ship can go down to a minimum of 10/10 chassis and still fly - it just means your ass if you lose shields and armor.

ya, it seems all the quest ships are that way. I guess to balance the fact they are so good.


makes you use them only in deep space. and PVP. vs grinding in normal space.

In the opinion of a lot of people, the implementation and the very abilities of the quest ships are "stupid." Namely because they're so overpowered.
