k, i have 3 JTL enabled accounts and on all three chars, the boosters on all their ships would appear to be disabled - this is also on the sorosuub, so it's not a component or power issue, it would appear to be an ingame setting of some sort and it's killing me because i can't figure out what it is, but it's hampering the performance of whatever ship i'm using at the time.
i'm using a joystick and have rebound the key multple times so that it's on only the keyboard or simultaneous use, and still nothing.
if anyone has any ideas or suggestions, i'd be very appreciative.

no one else come across this?
as an experiment i took a pal on my yacht and of coures, he could use the boosters, and I couldn't.
i've looked though just about every setting and so far, nothing - anyone?

The yacht doesn't have boosters. The n00b ships you get from the trainer don't have boosters. You need to have a player crafted ship, and you need to install the booster component. On my novice ship, I took out the booster so I could put on more studlier armor anyway.

they do have boosters- but this really isn't a component issue - or a power issue - or an installation issue - they used to work, now they don't - i remap the keys, still nothing - earlier tonight, a pal was on my sorosuub, he drove and HE could use the boosters, yet I could not - i'm convinced it's a setting somewhere or somesuch, but can't find it
grrrr
but thanks ![]()

You are wrong about the Yacht and Booster. The Yacht does indeed have boosters. They appear to be almost worthless, of course the regular speed of the Yacht is also about useless, but that's beside the point. The Yacht isn't designed for combat. Beyond that, it is outfitted with everything save guns, missiles, droid/computer interface and likely a capacitor.

Try using the 'default keys' option in your option menu. Perhaps by going back to the default settings thing will return to normal operation for you.
Beyond that, remove and then reinstall JTL or the entire SWG and JTL game. (You might want to /bug this issue first.)

thanks - tried resetting to the defaults, and that was no help - have also /bug'd the thing, no joy - am going to remove my profile folders and see if it rebuilds it, if that doesn't work, reinstall - thanks for taking the time to respond, however - this is a very frustrating issue

It's never been an issue for me. . . though I would ask what you are flying now, and if your reactor is up to snuff. If your reactor is overloaded, your boosters may not fire. That's about the only suggestion I can make.

If the reactor isn't up to snuff on a ship, other then the Yacht, it would be fairly easy to see that there would be a reactor problem, since the 'Reactor Energy' stat turns *RED* when you put in items that crave to much juice.
This isn't the problem experienced here, because the original poster stated that the booster also doesn't work on the Yacht, like the controls for the Booster simply aren't available anymore.

Good point. Does anyone know if there is a text command to fire the boosters?
