Thread: Drunken Bumblebee effect what causes this?
Yeh I've tried all sectors of space, same thing still occurs.
Damn Bria.
well I use to have it, but some guy posted it has to do with (yes lag) but more interferance from your pc.

Yes, thats the article I remember thankyou. Now, this has me thinking - the interferance is most likely being caused by the force feedback "rumble pack" thingy in my joystick. That is the only likely source of inteferance I can find, and the only thing that has changed since the DB issue started. The joystick has a seperate power cord for the force feedback that runs along next to my phone line and past my router.
That's my best guess - I'll check it out when I get home to see if this is whats causing the problem.
Thanks for the link!
To see your real network status, open the more general monitor (with ctrl-shift-G). When that one is open, you'll notice that the regular network monitor updates too.

It still might be lag. The network monitor often stops updating, especially when crossing server boundaries or loading into new zones.

Yeh thats the oneI use. The smaller one disappears from my interface everytimeI log out.
It is indicating that there is no packet loss, and my ping is fluctuating between 230-250 regualrly. Its a right pickle. I will check everything again when I get home and see what happens.
I can play with my Logitech joystick without any problems now. The downside is, you won't have any force feedback effects.
Sadly there seems to be no other fix for it that I am aware of.

When it happened to me it was a simple matter of getting online and makign sure I had the most up to date drivers, and making sure old drivers were cleaned off completely. There are a number of utilities for this, you'll need to do some searching. It's worth while though, driver conflicts cause a lot of computer issues.
Tried all that, but the only thing that worked for me was uninstalling all of the Logi drivers and use the windows standard ones (without FF
There is a huge thread about it on the tech support forum, they suggested lots of things, including turning off stuff in the bios (spread spectrum). Even the most recent drivers didnt work.
Are you using a Logitech FF joystick with Logitech drivers? Flying with a 3-axis-joystick is nice, but FF would be nicer. ;-)
Well I think it's safe to say it's not your joystick... and if you don't think it's a problem on your computer (which it doesn't sound like), then it would be a problem on the server that you happen to be on (not the galaxy, but the actual server of which there are many per galaxy).
You could always try flying in a different sector of space, or try playing at another time when you think the server load would be a little lighter, not that many people have the luxory of playing at those off times.
