A quick update. SOE has anounced a double EXP week this week for the goof they had with the server on Publish 17.

Take advantage of this. Do all the suggestioon as listed in this thread (Including the ship loadout if it is not considered an exploit). With the EXP doubled, it would be quite easy to max out your exp for the Tier four boxes in well under two hours a box. If you really want this ship, do it this week.

Have a good weekend.

Hey all,

I know I am preaching to the choir to a certain extent, but I though I would share with you the method I used for getting the Jedi starfighter as a rebel.

First, you have to drop rebel. Before you do unload gear you will need from your ships, or gear you cant use that is in your ships. (EDIT There are reports that the system only looks at chasis, and nto the equipment inside of them, when launching. If this is so you can leave your self a fully loaded heavy z95 and a fully loaded xwing that will bring yourself up faster)

You next need to buy faction. It cost me about 600K to buy the 5,200 faction I needed of imperial to do this. Making a simple post on your trade forum should get this done for you in no time flat.

The missions to getthe shipare well documented elsewhere, so I will not be redundent. They are all ground missions. You can get help if you need to, but you must be a declared combatant imp to start them. You can stop progress in the missions the moment you get the ship. You do not need to fight the last mission in space.

Once you have the ship, rejoin the Alliance.

Racing through the tiers is pretty easy once you get going.

I strongly recomend a friend. (If you dont have loaded ships ready for you. This guide is written with the assumption you do not.)

Get the inspiration buff. 10% may not sound like much, but figure if it takes you 10 hours of grinding, it will save you an hour. I like that.

Have a friend help you get enough exp for the tier one boxes. You cap when you hit the first box at 7,500, but wont after second (new cap is 60K). After the first box I would recomend just banking the 22,500 in exp you need for the other three boxes.

The missions are very easy at tier 1, so no worries there. Your friend can help or not, but you should not need him.

Next graba long probe so that you can have dual mounted front guns. Have the aformentioned friend help you get the box for it. You will cap at 60K. At 3,500 a kill, you can get the exp forone boxin 18 kills a box.

The5/4 equipment Tier2 box is next. Thenew cap is now 200K.After you can get the second tier2 box your friendcan go, but not too far.

With level 5/4 equipment, you can blitz the rest of the exp with either the z95 CorSecs near dath station or the xwing/z95 science bodyguards in Endor near d-###. Both of these groups are T4. The nice thing about these guys is that nither group cares if you blow up thier buddies. I would recomend disabling and then killing at this level. Saves you time and chasing them. You will only need 36 more kills for the other two boxes.

Time for tier three. With a good pilot with you, this will not take more than an hour or two to clear all four missions. If you have an xwing or can get an xwing, load it out and put two class 7 guns from your favorite shipwright on board as soon as you can. I would recomend the x-wing box first so you can turn (stupid Long Probe) and then the equipment box, but the choice is yours.

Once you have the two class 7 guns and x-wing, you are back to self sufficency.

Now get ready for the fun....

Tier four.

I LOVE the T4 science bodyguards for this. It is a constant killing spree. Do not worry about disabling anymore. Just send them to he||. You can gank them just about as fast as they arrive. They also do not pack attack, so they will happily watch you blast thier buddies from a few meters off.I got over a million exp in about 2 hours.

Get the tier four ship box FIRST. I know this is contrary to what you may be used to, but trust me. Now, since they are about the same mass, and you are sporting only two cannons....port all your gear over from the X-Wing to your shiney new Jedi Starfighter. Woot, goal achieved.

The rest of tier is even easier. With your new Uber ship, you feel sorry for all the widows you are making now. Figure you will be ready for the master missions in less thansix more hours of killing.

Not sure on the total time for all, but not too bad. Still recomend help for all the missions in Tier four and master but getting the exp will be quick.

Is it worth it? HECK YES IT IS WORTH IT! That little girl races! Makes anA-wing look flat footed.

Please post if you have alternative suggestions for leveling through the rest of T4 or any other thoughts.

Just trying to help people get back through to thier old level as fast as possible.

Thanks,

Just one recomendation for your guide.

You have 6 ship slots now. Use them. Buy a heavy Z-95 and load it up BEFORE you drop. Do the same with an X-wing, if you enjoy the ship. Have the best components you can stuffed into both ships. I'd probably load the X-wing up better, but it's all your call.

Now, drop like normal and go through the process to get the ETA-2. When you go back to being a Rebel, you'll have a loaded up Z-95 to burn your way through the missions. When you get to 3222, you can switch to the X-wing. Since the game only checks your certifications when you load the equipment into the ship, you can seriously powergrind your way through the profession to get back to where you were.

I did not know that.

So this is to say that at novice rebel pilot, when i rejoin the alliance, I will instantly be able to use the 2/2/2/2 ship im certified to fly right now? because the ship is already put together and it wont recheck my cets?

No. It checks your ship certification every time you try to fly it. But if you were to load up a Tier 0 Heavy Z-95 with Level 4 and 5 REd components before you quit, you'd be able to use those Level 4 and 5 components despite not being certified for them, since you are certified for the ship that they are in. I hope that is more understandable now. If not, I'll try again.

So what i should do then is go and get a Z-95, and put the parts I have now in my long probe, but put them into that z-95 (or whatever can fit) and then when i go back to being rebel, just use that z-95 until i get back to where i was? yes?

Yes. But I would actually recomend that you hunt down a Heavy Z-95 if you have the money for one. The stats are 95K mass, 1 SP weapon, 1 ordnance, .95 speed, 600/600/300 P/Y/R, which is really nice compared to a normal Z-95's 12k mass, 1 SP weapon, 1 ordnance, .95 speed, 600/600/300 P/Y/R. As you can see, you have the exact same stats, but an extra 83k in mass to fit stuff into it.

1 question about my droid. I've got my Z-95 loaded for PvP in deepspace. It's got a level 6 droid in it. Can this be used as well, or am i limited to what programs I can use?

droids are tied to your pilot level, so I dont think you could use this unless you were a master again.

I'll be honest with you. I don't know squat about droids. If you can get the droid into your ship, I'd imagine that you could use it, but I'm not even remotely familiar enough with them to speculate any farther than that.

Yes you will be able to use your lvl 6 astromech at novice if it is installed prior to dropping pilot. Droids(astromechs) work just like components. If you load in a lvl 6 droid, then drop back to novice you will still be able to use all your droid commands that were loaded into you droid. Just remember to NOT touch your booster or your droid interface because if you swap either of these to components, you will unload your astromech. You would then have no option but to use what astromech you are currently cert'ed for.
