Thread: Making money, looting and who to avoid as a Rebel pilot in training?
NPC ships that you destroy may randomly drop components. Don't worry about picking them up, they will be placed in your inventory automatically. Higher TIER enemies drop higher level components.
You can either use these components by putting them in your own ship (if they are better than what you have, and if the level is not too high for you), sell them (to other players via the bazaar or to Chassis dealers for fixed rates), or save them up for re-engineering (look through the shipwright forum if you want to know what re-engineering is, but for now, don't worry too much about it).
As for spawns: for now I'd say attack anything that is red on your radar, but watch the TIER of the enemies. Usually one tier higher than your own is ok, and can be challenging. Even higher tiers will be tough and may require experience. Especially if they are group spawns. (so if you are pilot 1111, attacking a TIER 3 enemy can be done, but if there are multiple, be carefull).
As a fellow rebel I would of course encourage you to focus your attack on Imperials
!!
Good luck
Thanks for that! This is such a friendly forum. I don't think I have ever seen a forum that doesn't run people down and especially the noobs.
You are a great bunch!
Nah I think because these days jedi are like rabbits... The sound of lightsabers is nowadays one of the most heard sounds in SWG, while it USED to be very very very hard to become jedi...
As to exploiters well... they are cheaters plain and simple... they feel justified to have an unfair advantage over others in PvP and then cry when there loop hole gets plugged. did anyone think 0 mass parts where working as intended?
(yes I use Weapon Overload 3... yes I builing my ship around it working properly... yes I am not that good at PvP anyway)
Money Making: Firstly make as much space in your inventory as you can. Go into space and just keep killing, duty missions help for this. once your inv is full of loot components go to a chassis dealer and sell him all the components, he generaly pays between 1k-10k per component. Doing this with high level duty missions means you can easily earn millions.

What sememon said...but.. once you start getting higher in pilot you will start to get better loot, hold on to the good stuff as you can either use it to kit out your next new ship or give/sell it to a shipwright who can reverse engineer it and make even better components.
