Thread: Help taking down the Imp Corvette

Ok, I have been trying to solo the Imperial corvette for longer than I care to admit now and have finally given up on it as a bad job. I will pay the first ten peoplr who offer to help me complete this final mission 50k to set out and if it is taken down I will pay them an extra 100k on top. Yes, I am really that annoyed with the whole thing and just want to get it out of the way, even if it ends up costing me 1.5 million credits.

I will be on for a few hours in game after writing this post and will be on tomorrow at about 19:00 gmt (thats 10:00 for most of you guys out there, the trouble I have with no help in space is down in part to the fact that when I play, its about 03:00 in the morning in the USA).

If you want to help a struggling pilot and earn up to 150k in the process then please send me a tell or an email.

Many thanks

Check the pilot helper list in this forum for pilot on your server that are willing to help for free.

If you are on Bria, I can solo it for you for free also. Other pilots on Bria who help for free and can solo it are Falc, Leaph, Akyma, mezzepa and tic-toc. I'm sure there are more, but those are the pilots I'm familiar with.

Ceadric Fa'son (Bria): Elder Jedi / Rebel Ace Pilot
Wyno Fa'son (Bria): POB ONLY SW (Full Suit) / Imp Ace / Blood Gulch Mayor
Bordeaux Fa'son (Bria): Drunken Master Medic / SA Ace Pilot

Ok, it does help if I tell people what server im on! I'm on Kettemoor and I have tried people on the help list but most of the time they are offline when I play and the one that i did try is busy grinding (double xp at the moment so I can't blame them in the least).

Its enough to make you weep!

I've done a few vettes lately, and with the influx of new pilots each time more people showed up (I wanted to solo it, darn it! :smileytongue. You honestly might have fantastic luck just sitting near the spawn point during peak hours, and see who wanders by. That, or you may find the occasional pilot in Kessel already who'll help you.

This is part of the problem, during peek hours i tend to be in bed myself.

I have tried just sitting on the spawn point but have had no luck whatsoever.

I'm starting to sound like a real hard luck story here. ROFL

Thankfully, I have none of this trouble on the ground and spend most of my time hunting Kryats and Gorax for kicks.

If I could wear an oxygen mask and a blanket in my ship I'd be tempted to open the cockpit in mid fight and try to blast the Corvette with my rifle as I have much more luck with that!

Well, in that case maybe we can help you solo it through tactics. How are you going about it now, and what are you flying? If nothing else, small ships get hit MUCH less by turrets, and can make your journey easier.

A couple of great guides floating around, that I don't have links to handy. One recommends sitting back by the engines and using missiles to take down the vette - that one actually works very nicely.

I've tried with the guides in a number of ships but the Imp corvette bucks like a mule so I have no luck. My ship is sitting in kessel at the moment staring at the smoothly flying rebel corvette... Its so tempting to surrender a box and go with the imperial mission for this one (being neutral has some advantages)

I don't think it used to do that, they just did it to make life more interesting...

I think that i've discovered another factor leading to lack of help in space on Kettemoor. I've just created another character on another server and the differance on the groundis astounding. IT'S HEAVING DOWN THERE!!!

Kettemoor is a ghost town in comparison (ghost galaxy?) I choose Kettemoor in the first place because it's meant to be a role playing server but I have seen very little indication of this.

Anyway, methinks that its time for a character transfer. I read somewhere that you can now take stuff with you. Any ideas how much you can take? I'm not being lazy, the search is on the blink again.

Well, there's one thing. It won't buck endlessly - I don't even like going close when they're doing that. Sit back a while and watch, or fly off away from it and it will smooth out.

I don't know why it bucks, I've heard lots of theories that usually have to do with lag. But both vettes will fly nice and smooth, just give it time. And be ready to boost away when it decides to try that again.

Any friendly pilots on Tempest who can help with the vette, maybe even the mission before it? Its not that that one is hard, it just takes awhile.
